Our Blues (우리들의 블루스) is a Korean drama series directed by Kim Kyu-tae and features Lee Byung-hun, Shin Min-a, Cha Seung-won, Lee Jung-eun, Han Ji-min, Kim Woo-bin, and Uhm Jung-hwa, alongside other cast members. The series has 20 episodes, and Our Blues Episode 15 is titled Yeong-ok, Jeong-jun And Yeong-hui-2 and has a runtime of 72 minutes.

In Our Blues Episode 15, Jeong-jun and Dong-seok have a brief conversation about their love lives. Seon-a has been sending videos of her daily life to Dong-seok but he doesn’t understand why she does so. Jeong-jun tells him that it only means that she likes him and thinks about him. Jeong-jun also tell him about Yeong-hui and asks him how to convince his family. Dong-seok tells him to be stubborn with his love because his family doesn’t owe him anything. After Jeong-jun leaves, Dong-seok sends Seon-a some pictures and he instantly receives a call from her.
Jeong-jun has taken a week off from work to spend time with Yeong-hui. He wants to prove his love to Yeong-ok and also wants to prove her wrong about her prejudices. Jeong-jun plays with Yeong-hui and also goes out to drink with her. Yeong-hui asks Jeong-jun if he likes Yeong-ok because she is pretty. She thinks that men who like a woman for her looks are nasty. Jeong-jun is friendly with her and Yeong-hui finally likes him and calls him a kind person.

Jeong-jun’s younger brother, Gi-jun tells him to break up with Yeong-ok, not because he doesn’t like Yeong-hui but because he is annoyed that a girl he likes has rejected him. Gi-jun likes Byeol-i, who is deaf, since their elementary school days. He thinks that their parents will be disappointed if both of their sons bring a person with a disability into their family. Jeong-jun feels proud of Gi-jun and assures him that their parents will also be proud of them for bringing two kin and decent men into this world.
After their day out at the beach, Jeong-jun, Yeong-ok and Yeong-hui are having lunch at a restaurant where a little boy teases Yeong-hui which leads to an argument. Yeong-ok is angry and tells Jeong-jun that things can get much worse. Yeong-hui has been sitting outside the home and can hear everything. She hears Yeong-ok saying how much of a trouble Yeong-hui is and she breaks down in tears. Both of them know how they feel about each other and that’s what hurts them the most.
Our Blues Episode 15 Ending
Yeong-hui has drawn pictures of everyone that she has met on the island but Yeong-hui doesn’t believe her. She has never shown her drawings to anyone before but she shows them to Jeong-jun and asks him if they are good and will Yeong-ok like them. She doesn’t want to leave Jeju but she knows that Yeong-ok won’t let her stay. She is ready to go to Seoul the next day before Yeong-ok.
Jeong-jun brings Yeong-ok to his bus and she sees all the pictures that Yeong-hui has drawn. She has drawn pictures of Yeong-ok from childhood to now. Yeong-ok breaks down in tears because Yeong-hui had told her that she has gotten good at drawing because she used to draw every time she felt lonely and missed Yeong-ok.
Our Blues Episode 15 Review
Our Blues Episode 15 portrays a sensitive topic beautifully. Yeong-hui has down syndrome and her only family, Yeong-ok deals with guilt for leaving her alone and not caring for her enough is what many families must be going through. Nothing looks forced in the episode and it looks natural. The episode doesn’t show a person with a disability as someone different but someone who is naturally a part of the society.
