Oshi No Ko Season 2 Episode 3 Recap
In this episode, Ruby relishes her newfound celebrity status at school. However, conversations with her friends make her realize she’s still far from the level of fame they enjoy. She asks her company’s CEO to increase her workload but faces another challenge: Komachi B, her group, can’t function without their lead singer, Kana.
Kana returns, delayed by conflicts between the scriptwriter and manga writer of her live-action project. Through her, we learn that Aqua has gone on a date with Akari, who wants him to fall in love with theatre. They watch a live-action adaptation of a sports story, and Aqua is captivated by the creative use of the set and projections, as well as the 360° rotating audience seating, enhancing the immersive experience.

This outing helps Aqua understand the challenges writers face in grasping theatre dynamics. He realizes Abiko, the manga writer, can never match Goa, an experienced scriptwriter who knows how to engage a theatre audience. Determined to address this, Aqua plans to approach someone close to Abiko.
The episode also delves into the manga industry. Successful writers often dislike criticism and surround themselves with yes-men who don’t highlight their flaws. Abiko, who became famous with her debut manga, started rejecting others’ opinions and quickly dismissing feedback.
