Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Episode 1 and 2 Review

A year has passed since Mabel, Charles and Oliver had gotten together to solve the murder from the second season of the show. Our pseudo-detectives have been on a long rest, much like us and we appreciate it. In fact, the trio has seemingly taken up different hobbies. Alas, one of those hobbies is where we find our next murder mystery starting.

Oliver is seen producing a Broadway show titled Death Rattle. As fun, as it sounds, a death actually takes place even before the show can open. The lead actor played by Paul Rudd, named Ben Gilroy drops dead one fine day during the rehearsals. But, it is all fun and jokes apparently because Gilroy is the joking kind who likes to pull this joke.

Remember the story of the boy who cried wolf? A similar thing happens here. After making a rather funny and cryptic speech about the cast and crew, we see Ben Gilroy drop dead once again. But, this time it is real and that is when the show starts in its true essence sending us on the journey to deduce what actually happened. By the second episode, we are at Ben’s funeral and our podcast detectives have put on their thinking hats.

As Mabel, Charles and Oliver get together to solve this mystery, it seems like there is a more complex storyline behind it than what would meet the eye. Fun fact, in episode two, two of our main characters almost get killed trying to dig the grave deeper.

Only Murders in the Building Season 3 Episode 1 and 2: Final Thoughts

Well well well, look how amazing this Hulu show is doing! With the onset of the third season, there were some inhibitions in our heads about if the show will be able to live up to the expectations it has already set- being funny, real and absolutely binge-worthy at any point of the day.

We are happy to inform you that the show’s essence is intact and it already feels like this season is going to be a good one. Along with the main plots, there are developing subplots, which are also very interesting.

You can watch the first two episodes of Only Murders in the Building Season 3 now on Hulu.
