One Punch Man Season 3 Ending Explained: Is the Animation Going to Get Better in Part 2? What Did Saitama Do This Season?

One Punch Man Season 3 Ending Explained: One Punch Man Season 3 ended, and fans are nothing but happier because of how bad the season turned out. In the last episode, we do get to see Saitama fight someone, but that was it; it hardly presented a good enough episode for fans to forget the disappointing treatment the franchise got throughout.

Did The Animation Become Better in One Punch Man Season 3?

No. The animation that fans had been eagerly waiting to improve, or at least become bearable, ultimately failed to deliver. Things didn’t look good by the end, and while the animators did try to wrap up the season on a high note, it was not impressive enough to leave a lasting impact. In the last episode, some of the panels were not up to the mark. Yet, it was better than what fans usually got.

What Did Saitama do?

In the last episode, a confused Saitama enters the monster lair, and right off the bat, becomes engaged with the monsters. He did not even attack them first, and when they tried to kill him, Saitama obviously killed each of them. Later, Overgrown Rover, a monstrous dog, takes on Saitama, only to receive a lesson he won’t forget. Saitama delivers a single overwhelming blow that sends shockwaves through the entire area. This alerts both heroes and villains alike. The impact is so immense that it draws Orochi out, prompting him to personally confront Saitama.

How did Orochi and Saitama fight?

Saitama’s clash with Orochi is extremely brief and one-sided. After being drawn out, Orochi confronts him and boasts about being the pinnacle of evolution. Before Orochi can properly showcase his full power, Saitama interrupts him mid-monologue and obliterates him with a single punch. This blasts straight through Orochi’s body and seemingly kills him on the spot. The fight ends almost as soon as it begins, reinforcing Saitama’s overwhelming strength.

What Can Fans Expect From One Punch Man Season 3 Part 2?

Fans can definitely look forward to bigger battles, a stronger focus on the S-Class heroes, and their fights. Many of these S-ranked heroes are pushed to their absolute limits in this part. Characters like Tatsumaki, Garou, and Genos are likely to take centre stage as the conflict escalates.

Meanwhile, Garou’s transformation arc will follow suit, diving deeper into his ideology and showing his evolution as he increasingly blurs the line between human and monster. As always, Saitama will step in for the decisive confrontation against Garou. This will be a moment fans have been eagerly anticipating, as the battle is expected to develop on a cosmic scale.

It is difficult to say whether One Punch Man Season 3 Part 2 will see a quality improvement. However, with J.C. Staff once again handling the animation, my expectations remain low. It seems unlikely that the series will deliver a significantly better viewing experience in the future.

Should You Watch One Punch Man Season 3 Part 2?

You can still watch the anime if you want to follow the story. However, I would strongly recommend reading the manga instead, as its artwork is masterfully crafted. The panels in the One Punch Man manga are stunning and elevate the entire reading experience. I strongly favour the manga, as its impact doesn’t depend on uneven or fluctuating animation quality.
