One More Time Plot/Synopsis
Netflix’s description of the series reads, “On her 40th birthday, Amelia makes a fateful wish to be 18 again back in 2002 but soon regrets it when she’s stuck reliving the day over and over again.” It will follow the story of Amelia, who on her 40th birthday makes a fateful wish to be 18 again back in 2002 but soon regrets it when she’s stuck reliving the day over and over again. What started as a pleasant dream, soon turned into a nightmare when she can’t move forward from the same day.
Right on her birthday, Amelia gets fired from her job. Heartbroken & drunk, she reminisces about the time when she graduated with all the hopes for a successful life and so many ideas for what her future might look like. Then suddenly, one finds themselves dealing with a midlife crisis standing upon their broken dreams.
While crossing the road, listening to her favourite track from her teen years, she gets hit by a truck. However, when she wakes up, instead of being in a hospital, she goes back to her 18th birthday. At first, Amelia seems confused but eventually loves the opportunity to relive the best time of her life.
She goes through the day, doing all the things that she remembered doing but the real problem starts when she wakes up back to the previous day. For her, every other day is her birthday as she is stuck in this infinite time loop with no escape. Before she ruins all her good memories from the past, Amelia needs to figure out what exactly went wrong & how to go back to her present day.
