The upcoming season of K-dramas seems to be high on its love for K-pop stars. As we discuss the Numbers Episode 1 preview, this series gets added to the list of South Korean dramas featuring K-pop idols in their leading cast panel as one of the main attractions, like Race (TVXQ’s Yunho), Heartbeat (2PM’s Ok Taec-yeon) and King the Land (2PM’s Lee Jun-ho).
Numbers (넘버스: 빌딩숲의 감시자들) is a workplace Korean TV series written by Jung An and Oh Hye-seok, and directed by Kim Chil-bong. Starring Kim Myung-soo, Choi Jin-hyuk, Choi Min-soon and Yeonwoo in lead roles, the show is set to premiere in a few days.
Numbers is taking up the time slot previously occupied by Woo Do-hwan’s Joseon Attorney on MBC TV. Kim Myung-soo was last seen as Sung Yi-gyum in Secret Royal Inspector (2020), and Hong Jo in Meow the Secret Boy (2020). Whereas, Choi Jin-hyuk was spotted playing a cameo role in Mr Queen (2020), prior to which, he also donned the main role for series like Zombie Detective (2020) and Rugal (2020). Numbers Plot
Set in an accounting firm, Numbers revolves around Myung-soo’s character, Jang Ho-woo, an accountant working at Taeil Accounting Firm. Young as he is, Ho-woo is not merely the first and only high school graduate employee of one of the top four accounting firms of the nation, he’s also one who fights against many rising injustices. His remarkable memory and streak for numbers are what landed him at the firm. As is often believed that one can only truly change things by being on the inside, Ho-woo, too, soon uncovers the systemic corruption and dark lies directly correlated with the prestigious accounting firm, and makes up his mind to dismantle the authority established by it.

Numbers Cast
Kim Myung-soo, also professionally known as L, a member of the K-pop boy group INFINITE, dons the leading character in the lot and essays the role of Jang Ho-woo. Choi Jin-hyuk comes in as Han Seung-jo, yet another accountant, and also the only son of the accounting firm’s vice president. Choi Min-soon plays his father, Han Je-gyun, aka the vice president of Taeil Accounting Firm, and Lee Da-bin, better known as Yeonwoo, the former MOMOLAND member, portrays Jin Yeon-ah, a senior associate at the same firm.
The supporting cast also includes Lee Sung-yeol, Choi Jung-woo , Park Hwan-hee, Seo Eun-woo, Bae Hae-sun, Do Yeon-jin, Kim Sun-bin ,Kim Yoo-ri and others.
Numbers Episode List
The latest K-drama title is expected to have a bit shorter run than the usual trend, with 12 episodes in the season, thus completing its run on July 29, 2023 with the finale. New episodes will be broadcasted on every Friday and Saturday.

Slated to premiere on the South Korean TV network MBC TV, the series will most likely be available on Viki later for international viewers.

Upon finding out that his new colleague, Jang Ho-woo is a high school graduate, Han Seung-jo butts heads with him without even planning on it. With the former having worked his way to the top with his intelligence and maverick abilities, he doesn’t yet owe any loyalty to the firm, but Seung-jo, on the other hand, already has a game plan set for him owing to his position as not only a fellow accountant at one of the top firms in the nation, but also as the son of the same firm’s VP.
