No Regrets in Life (Love Happened in Three Days, 愛情發生在三天後) is a Taiwanese romance-drama TV series directed by Fung Kai and starring Annie Chen, Liu Guan Ting, Shih Ming-shuai, Summer Meng, JC Lin, and Aggie Hsieh, alongside other cast members. The series will be 13 episodes long, airing new episodes every Saturday from June 18, 2022. No Regrets in Life episode 4 has a runtime of 71 minutes.

No Regrets in Life episode 4 starts off with the rumours of Ning Yu Zhou’s pregnancy spreading everywhere, to the point that she even receives a call from her mother. To add on, people everywhere are staring at her while giving her special treatment due to her pregnancy rumours. Elsewhere, the three friends question Zhou Xin Rui about her live stream while criticising it at the same time. She tells them that she is sure of Ning Yu Zhou’s pregnancy as she saw her throw up during their get-together, however, she soon gets to know that Ning Yu Zhou threw up because of the carrot cake that she ate.
At home, Wang Yan enters and finds Liang Xin Zhen waiting for him with a table full of food. He reluctantly has the dinner prepared and tries to know the reason for Liang Xin Zhen’s change. She then tells him that she thought that their marriage might still have a chance, but looking at his attitude she has lost all hope in their relationship getting better. She then questions him about Ning Yu Zhou’s pregnancy which offends Wang Yan and he brings back the divorce topic. She blames his insistence on the divorce on Ning Yu Zhou which frustrates Wang Yan as he leaves the house. Liang Xin Zhen changes her mind and is not willing to divorce Wang Yan anymore.

At a restaurant, Wang Yan is having dinner when two diners are talking about him at another table. When he gets up to pay the bill, he is told that it has been paid for and a message is left for him. It is a derogatory message. Later Ning Yu Zhou gets a call from their friend Zhang Kai Xin (Spicy Hands) who admits that he planned the reunion to get her back with Wang Yu but didn’t expect there to be such a mess. She goes to his place and realises that he called her for the reunion by provoking her with a bet just to get her back with Wang Yu.
While she is arguing with him the bell rings and it is Wang Yan. He admits that he tricked the two into coming today and tries to lighten the mood. He then tells them that he did what he did eight years ago because he was angry at Wang Yan for hitting him at the concert. But because of this Wang Yan ignored him for eight years while Ning Yu Zhou disappeared and didn’t show up for eight years. He tells the two that they love each other but the two deny his words. He then tells them that it is his dying wish to see the two together after which he coughs up blood and faints.
The two freak out and rush him to the hospital. It turns out that he had planned this reunion with the rest of the gang during which he told them that he had cancer. At the hospital, Hong Da Fang tells the two that Zhang Kai Xin didn’t want to pressurise the two to make up, but he was running out of time and did not want to leave behind any regrets.
A memory of the group fighting with another group because of Zhang Kai Xin flirting with some girls, as they protect each other. Later Wang Yan warns him to not flirt with the girls in their class as he doesn’t want there to be enmity within the class. Back in the present, Wang Yan, Ning Yu Zhou and Zhou Xin Rui come together on a live stream to clear the mess surrounding her pregnancy. Wang Yan continues by wishing her the best for her future with her boyfriend which makes them all emotional.

Later, Wang Yan runs behind Ning Yu Zhou and gives her the tick stud and 3,600 dollars that he had kept with himself since the day of the concert. This is the scene from the first episode and after a small talk, the two separate on better terms but with their little regrets. The scene changes to the memory of a speed dating event in college where Ning Yu Zhou gets the contact information of a guy and Wang Yan is jealous. Wang Yan makes a move and tells her that he is always there right next to her. At the airport, while Zhang Dou Kou is waiting for her flight she remembers watching Ning Yu Zhou and Zhang Kai Xin on the day after the concert.
Elsewhere, Wang Yan is being nostalgic while surfing the internet where netizens are demanding a sequel or an ending of the two. Suddenly he gets a call and he goes to the hospital where Ning Yu Zhou and Hong Da Fang are taking care of Zhang Kai Xin. The three of them take care of him while he tries to convince Ning Yu Zhou to get together with Wang Yan. He keeps trying to push them together and asks them to go buy him food. But the reason why he made them leave was because of the tiredness from his illness.
No Regrets in Life Episode 4 Ending
At the restaurant, Wang Yan tries to make small talk with Ning Yu Zhou but she keeps blocking him. However, he continues to try and lessen the awkwardness but it doesn’t work out well. Back in the hospital, Zhang Kai Xin is talking to his grandmother and hiding his condition from her. Wang Yan is angry at him for hiding his illness and lashes out at him. He shares his own regrets with him to make him realise the mistake that he is making, while also sharing the reason why he doesn’t celebrate the Chinese New Year.
This is the first time that he has shared this with his friends and it leaves them speechless until Zhang Kai Xin talks about the time when Wang Yan was supposed to be with him during the festival but ditched him and went to Ning Yu Zhou. A rewind takes us to their freshman year when Wang Yan tried to teach Ning You Zhou origami but fails and the two get into an argument when he calls her stupid. As he continues his argument, she gets frustrated and bites him and he goes to his friends. One of the guys prepares a lawsuit for Wang Yan to file against Ning Yu Zhou to scare her, but he gives up when he gets to know that she has only ever bitten him.
No Regrets in Life Episode 4 Review
No Regrets in Life episode 4 finally brought the two a little closer and them moving forward from their feud. Though it is sad, that the two are only getting better because of a friend’s illness, it is still something. Liang Xin Zhen’s character is just becoming too dramatic and bipolar which is not really pleasing because she is getting villain vibes which makes her a little cliché. While we see Wang Yan’s character going through some development, I cannot say the same for Ning Yu Zhou even after such an eventful episode.
I hope we see more involvement of other characters (which we did see in this episode) along with the development of Ning Yu Zhou and Liang Xin Zhen’s characters.
