Ninja Kamui is a cool new anime show made by E&H Production and Sola Entertainment, with some help from Williams Street. It started airing on Adult Swim’s Toonami in February 2024, but people have been excited about it since they announced it in May 2022. Sunghoo Park directed the show, and Takashi Okazaki designed the characters.

Everyone became extra hyped when Adult Swim showed a short trailer for this at San Diego Comic-Con in July 2023. Also, there’s going to be a video game version called Ninja Kamui: Shinobi Origins, coming out around the middle of 2024.

The show starts with a song called “Vengeance” by Coldrain. It gets you ready for the action!

Joe Higan used to be a ninja, but he left his clan and moved to rural America with his family to escape his violent past. One night, assassins from his old group attack him and his family as payback for leaving. They think they’ve killed Joe, but he survives and becomes Ninja Kamui to get revenge. Kamui is a modern ninja who fights with old-fashioned skills against high-tech weapons. He has to battle, trained killers, cyborgs, and other ninjas to take down his old clan.

Along the way, he’ll uncover secrets about his past and discover unexpected allies who will help him in his quest for justice. With every move, Kamui inches closer to his ultimate goal, but the journey is fraught with danger and betrayal at every turn. Can Kamui overcome the odds and bring down the organization that once claimed him as its own, or will he fall victim to the shadows of his own past?

Ninja Kamui Plot

The plot of Ninja Kamui revolves around Joe Higan, a former ninja living a peaceful life in America under the alias “Logan” with his wife Mari and son Ren. This tranquillity is shattered when assassins from his old clan, the Iga, attack and brutally kill his family in retaliation for his past betrayal.

In this episode, the revelation of Higan’s saviour unfolds, and she is none other than Emma. Higan’s condition worsens due to severe beatings, rendering him unable to confront the powerful lieutenants with advanced battlesuits. These suits, a fusion of ninja tradition and cutting-edge technology, offer Higan a chance for revenge but demand he enter a deep slumber to synchronize with the latest model, Kamui.

Higan might achieve his initial goal of revenge, but the experience could leave him morally conflicted and seeking redemption. He might use his skills to protect others or fight against a greater evil. We might also see more secrets about the Iga clan’s true motives, and internal conflicts could be revealed, leading to unexpected alliances and betrayals.

The FBI agents, Mike and Emma, could also become more deeply involved in the ninja world, facing danger and ethical dilemmas.
