Nineteen to Twenty Episode 1-3 Reactions: Yerin-Seyeon Take the Lead as Fan-Favourite Ship in “Teen Version of Single’s Inferno”

Nineteen to Twenty Episode 1-3 reactions (열아홉 스물) are rolling out on Twitter after the premiere of the new Korean reality dating show on Netflix. Releasing the first three entries on the same day, i.e. on July 11, 2023, creators Kim Jae-won, Kim Jung-hyun and Park Su-ji have introduced the international audiences to brand new reality TV content to consume our lives yet again.

Previously released Korean reality shows on Netflix include names like Physical 100, Siren: Survive the Island and Single’s Inferno, and the latter most of these was also a dating show. Now the coming-of-age youthful series has replicated its concept but among younger contestants. Lending it the looks of the “teen version of Single’s Inferno“, as some netizens are calling it, the first few episodes have already got audiences hooked on to it.

Nineteen to Twenty Episode 1-3 Reactions - Still 2

Hosted by Cho Kyu-hyun aka Super Junior Kyuhyun, Kim Ji-eun, AKMU Lee Suhyun and Jeong Sewoon, 19 to 20 has welcomed a group of teens including four boys – Moon Se-yeon, Lim Jung-yun, Oh Sang-won and Lee Ji-min, and for girls – Jeong Seo-young, Choi Seo-hyeon, Noh Hee-ji and Choi Ye-rin. Two new additions have also been introduced to the lot, namely Jeong Ji-woo and Kim Pyeong-seok. While the initial three episodes have already established fan-favourites among the viewers, with most of them rooting for the pairing of Se-yeon and Choi Ye-rin, and some for Se-yeon and Seo-young, we must also take into account that it’s just the beginning.

As witnessed across many dating shows before, not all initial bonds stand the passage of time, often giving way to new flings and relationships later on. With nothing confirmed as of now, at least one thing is sealed for good – people are loving the new format of the series.

Calling it as a “silly youth reality show” that has already given rise to some cute heart-fluttering moments, netizens are appreciating the casting choices. Some have even drawn parallels between moments of typical K-drama representation of romance and Nineteen to Twenty.

  1. WHAT IS THIS?!? A documentar?!?? a reality show?!??, im watched half of episode one,
Could this not be a nornar school tv show,
And the people in the couch talking to much, they stop the episodes like every 5 minutes,
Could they just talk in the beginning and in the end, and maybe WITH THE ACTTULY ACTORS?!?

for now it just bothersome to watch,
    My score: 2.0 of 5

  2. Yup a documentar where all student talk in front of a camera, do this people have homes?!? Could need some actors to play as parents/uncle, they lives at school?!? ,
