Netflix’s Untold Caitlyn Jenner Review: Perfect Addition to the Untold Series

Netflix released Untold Caitlyn Jenner, the third part of the Untold series. Caitlyn, whose former name was Bruce Jenner, was once an American decathlete. She is also Kylie and Kendall Jenner’s dad. The Untold series is a sports series that covers the lives of some of the best sportspeople in the US. The first part is Untold: Malice at the Palace, which talks about the Indiana Pacers-Detroit Pistons brawl. The second part of the series is on Untold: Deal With the Devil on Christy Martin, an American world champion boxer.

Untold: Caitlyn Jenner review doesn’t contain spoilers –

Untold Caitlyn Jenner takes us through Caitlyn’s life. Just like the previous parts, this one also has a high production quality. Along with ample photos, videos and, of course, interviews of those on whom the series is based. Caitlyn shares her life from when she was Bruce, the sports and the competitions, and when she became herself. It must be a dramatic change in one’s life when they become who they actually are. What is harder than that is, coming from a background where it is taboo to explore your sexuality and question your gender.

Caitlyn as Bruce

While talking about Bruce, she mentions how she used to wear her mother’s clothes while no one was home. She also opens up about her dyslexia and her time as an athlete. From playing in college to going to the Olympics, Caitlyn did it all. She explains how Bruce got into college through a football scholarship. But after an injury, she started playing basketball and track. When Bruce participated in his first Olympic games, he came at the tenth position. Caitlyn shares in Untold: Caitlyn Jenner how Bruce admired a Soviet participant and the gold medal.

Untold: Caitlyn Jenner Bruce Jenner

As Untold Caitlyn Jenner continues, you get to know more details about Caitlyn’s life as Bruce and what it meant for her. Even though Bruce excelled in sports and won a gold medal in the Olympics, she still felt incomplete. She explains how she used to hide her identity from everyone until decades later when she finally came out.

After watching three parts of the Untold series, you might come to admire their storytelling style. Even though the show follows the same formula of presenting facts with anecdotes, this particular series has a great idea behind it. The people and the accounts they have chosen makes it more interesting. It also keeps up with the title as a lot of people are unaware of it.

Engaging Series

When she finally embraces her true self, it proved to be more meaningful. Netflix has many documentaries which are as good as the rest, but the Untold series hits differently.

Untold: Caitlyn Jenner

Caitlyn Jenner has been an inspiration to many people from the LGBTQIA+ community as well as to sportspeople.

  1. I found it odd the she refers to Bruce Jenner in the third person as if he is someone she knows. She made the decision to give up four years of her life for training, she put in the effort and heart to win that medal. Her hormones may have been different, but the guts and the glory are hers, whether she is man or woman.
