The Brave Ones: All to Know About the Upcoming South African Fantasy Drama on Netflix

Numerous pre-released series have covered the ground around Greek and Roman mythology, now it’s time to surrender to the South African roots with The Brave Ones coming out on Netflix this September. The series will depict the characters speaking in their native language and this representation is what sets the show apart from other series on Netflix revolving around the same storyline. It’ll be interesting to watch the involvement of the extensive South African lore on the show. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming show.

Set to have six episodes over the course of the season, The Brave Ones will tackle issues around the preternatural world that is divided into three realms – “the world of the living… the world of the unborn and the world of the dead” and together, the three of them make up the “Tree of life”.

People summon gods from across these realms to look after their loved ones, but it all has a price. Only The Brave Ones can overcome such obstacles because as the trailer states, they “fear nothing”. Their only aim is to exterminate the wrongs of the world, protect the innocent and preserve the good in the land.
