Now that the final arm of this ever-expanding band has finally crowned its trainees, the NCT Universe LASTART lineup will detail all the members coming to the survival reality competition. Out of the ten trainees present in this series and two incoming members, six of them will be chosen to be in the NCT Tokyo group. This group will be managed under SM Entertainment. They will compete against each other in a series of dance and singing challenges to be shortlisted as the band members of this group.
While most of the NCT Universe LASTART contestants are unknown, with almost little to no information regarding their personal lives, Ryu is quite known to be the younger brother of the television personality Loveli and Japanese band member Alan Shirahama. He is 19 years old and will be joined by his twin Yushi who was part of the SMROOKIES, along with 21-year-old Sion, who will also be debuting in the survival reality competition.

The name of the band is an abbreviation for the phrase New Culture Technology, which boasted that the group would have an unlimited number of members from across the world, divided into sub-units. These sub-units would be given an opportunity to collaborate with each other as well. In the spirit of unlimited expansion, members come from all over the world, including South Korea, Japan, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Macau, Canada and the United States.
For the month of August, the band will be coming back with yet another studio album, which will be their fourth studio album. Additionally, all the members of the group, generally known as the NCT Nation, will be performing in a group concert. This group concert will also be happening once again in September. It is expected that the group will be performing songs from albums like Empathy, Resonance and Universe. In November, the band is expected to release another mini-album, which could probably mean that one of the sub-units might be releasing something.
The NCT Universe LASTART competition will be starting on July 27, 2023. NCT DoJaeJung’s Perfume is currently streaming on Spotify and other music streaming platforms.
