NCTzens got some surprising news today as it was revealed that NCT Star and all-rounder leader Taeyong’s Solo Album will be coming out soon. Through the group NCT’s official page it was announced that the artist will be putting out his 1st mini album along with some striking album art.
In the post, visible bold red lines dominate the pinkish-beige background and on top of that, the album name is seen in white fonts. In rather animated fonts, one can speculate that it will be somewhat eccentric and will showcase the full range of what NCT’s Taeyong has in store for everyone.
Taeyong’s Solo Album Name and Concept
The name of the album is SHALALA and it will be a mini-album. A trailer of around 57 seconds was also released simultaneously and the video starts off with a circular frame, where the artist is seen standing backwards. Followed by quick shots of various visuals and different characters of the singer, the whole frame is finally revealed with him wearing optometric glasses.
The first character is seen in a casual white T-shirt and denim while playing the guitar, keyboard and even writing something on a board. It could signify that he has taken part in the composition of the songs & even contributed to the lyrics.

The scene transitions to another strong avatar, where Taeyong is wearing a bright orange outfit, somewhat resembling a firefighter since he is holding a water hose. However, the silver accessories, goggles, and his braided hair suggest a hip-hop theme that could be incorporated into the album.
It again transitions into another space, literally, as the images of other planets are shown & the artist is sitting in a white room. His outfit is also completely white with a futuristic design, silver makeup and hair styled in a unique way. This scene is followed by a sleek transition into the current modern yet chic style, donning a red leather outfit, in a completely red room.
The last character is a basketball player with hip clothes & wearing a snapback. Towards the end, all the characters are shown standing against a white background. The 6 characters can be speculated as the six songs on the album & they showcase the overall theme or genre that the song will have.
From visionary tracks to some hip-hop influences and experimental futuristic sounds can be expected from Taeyong’s first solo album. Often being called the all-rounder with singing, dancing and fast rapping abilities, the fans are truly excited to see his work as he became a trending topic soon after. Recently, another sub-unit from the group, DoJaeJung, which consists of Kim Doyoung, Jung Jaehyun and Kim Jungwoo released their first mini-album with the title song Perfume.
