Narco Saints Trailer Breakdown
The official trailer is 2 minutes and 6 seconds long and starts off with Kang In-gu (Ha Jung-woo) being chased by police officers in a foreign land. Followed by a National Intelligence Service agent Choi Chang-ho, telling In-gu that he has been framed by Jeon Yohan (Hwang Jung-min).
He is unwillingly tasked by the agent to act like a real drug dealer and infiltrate the drug cartel ring in Suriname. His main goal is to capture the Korean drug lord, Jeon Yohan, who framed him in this chaos. The drug lord is a smart guy and businessman who hides his true identity under the ruse of being a pastor.
The first question asked by Yohan is why did In-gu come back? To which he replies that he came to make money. Carrying on his persona of a Pastor Yohan calls cocaine, the gift from god and the only one who could handle that blessing is him. Leading to quick scenes of packages of cocaine being transported, a group of men practising shooting and the mafia threatening someone that if they break the promise, it would mean war.

While on the outside, the military and airforce are getting ready to take on the criminals. Coming back to the same scene where David Park (Yoo Yeon-seok) tells everyone to relax, as they aren’t here for war and the camera pans to Kang In-gu. We get to know more about his character and how the secret agent asks him to keep pushing the boundaries to get results.
While In-gu retaliate that he is the one putting his life on the line and his personal interests are his top priority. In this series trust is the deadliest deal and hard to build, as Jeon Yohan threatens him, that if he isn’t honest with him then the wrath of god will lead him to the swamp of death.
This leads to scenes of people shooting at each other, fighting and beating other inmates in prison. We get introduced to the leading actors of the series as various action-adventure snippets from the show are flashed by quickly. At the end of the trailer, we hear Service agent Choi Chang-ho asking In-gu if they are working for the same goal still or not.
This could mean that along the course Kang In-gu might have changed his course and could join hands with Yohan instead. In the real incident, there is no mention of any secret agent like In-gu who helped in catching the drug lord. So, it will be interesting to see how the adapted plot will shape in the end.
