My Name is Gabriel Episode 6 Recap

The episode continues Hye-ran’s journey as Qiu Qianyun during which she is taken to dance class which leaves her speechless. However, Hye-ran quickly recovers and continues trying to be Qianyun as she begins following the instructions given and those around her. From getting into posture and following the instructor, Hye-ran is hard at work.

She doesn’t shy away from those at the studio as she shows off her moves to the hosts and Park Myung-soo. The video of her journey continues with Hye-ran taking short videos alongside her tutor as this is what Qianyun would do each day. Following the dance classes, she goes shopping with her friends and gets the hat she had previously wanted.

The secret behind the shocked Hye-ran is revealed to be a huge table meant for celebrations as she is taken to her seat. Soon, the host arrives and announces that this is a birthday celebration of some of their co-workers, and Hye-ran is one of them. She celebrates her birthday with all the happiness and food around her and soon the day comes to an end with Hye-ran serving at her station once again.

She goes home and tells everyone about her day. With the next day being her last, Hye-ran wishes to do something for everyone she is grateful to and decides to cook for the staff at her restaurant. However, this will not be easy as she soon gets to know that she will be cooking for 400 people which leaves her shocked.

She almost wishes to back out, and right then Qianyun’s mother promises to help her which gets Hye-ran back on her feet. The next day, she says a sad farewell to her son as this will be the last time she sees him. Following this, she goes to a Korean mart with her mother and husband who assist her with her shopping. Soon, they make their way to the restaurant where they are to prepare the meal.

Hye-ran gets to cooking with her mother while the chefs present around them begin helping the duo out. Soon, it is almost time for lunch which leaves Hye-ran stunned as she is unable to balance the seasonings in the food. Finally, left with no other choice, Hye-ran begins serving the food she prepared, even though it is a little less seasoned.

While not many appear at her station in the beginning, some begin to enjoy her food and arrive for seconds. Hye-ran is happy with the outcome and soon joins her friends for some lunch. Following this, the group heads to play some mahjong alongside Qianyun’s mother who very easily overpowers others.

The game soon begins and Hye-ran once again finds herself losing as her mother doesn’t go easy on her until the very end when she finally decides to help Hye-ram win her first round. Here, she bids farewell to her temporary mother and goes to her next location where she is taken by her friends.

As the ladies get their makeup done, pictures taken, and food shared, it is soon time to leave and Hye-ran bursts out crying. The other two console her and soon she makes her way out of this temporary life.

Hye-ran’s adventures come to an end and the epilogue where Qiu Qianyun’s family and friends send her videos is shown. Soon, the real Qiu Qianyun is revealed who turns out to be the woman who came up to Hye-ran at the very beginning. With this, the episode ends leaving behind an announcement to make.

Another fun journey comes to an end with Hye-ran being able to live a fairly normal life with no fame or anything as she takes on the role and emotions seriously. The episode has its ups and downs, however, these elements only intensify the plot of the show that is being followed.

Altogether, the episode brought another sense of enthusiasm and joy when watching this show. Meanwhile, we are left with a wish to see more as soon as possible and hope that the hiatus ends soon.
