My Lovely Liar Episode 7 reactions (소용없어 거짓말) from fans are now out on X (Twitter) after the show’s latest episode aired on tvN on August 21, 2023. The drama series written by Seo Jeong-eu, and directed by Nam Sung-woo stars Kim So-hyun and Hwang Min-hyun in lead roles, and their characters of Mok Sol-hee and Kim Do-ha have already become favourites among viewers. With each new episode the show has been adding more gravity and fans have been enjoying peeling back the layers of its mystery.
The series first premiered on July 31, 2023, and airs on tvN every Monday and Tuesday at 20:50 KST. It is also available for streaming on Viki and Viu in select regions. The supporting cast of the show includes Seo Ji-hoon as Lee Kang-min, a detective and Lee Si-woo as Syaon, a top solo singer.
The show’s plot mainly revolves around So-hyun who plays Mok Sol-hee, a woman with super-abilities to hear other people’s lies. As for Min-hyun, he plays Kim Do-ha a famous composer who is also a murder suspect. In order to stay out of the public eye, he changes his name. His stage name is known to be “K”.
The last few episodes may have gradually been building towards Do-ha and Sol-hee’s love story, but each Monday episode has instead reeled out angst for the viewers with every cliffhanging ending sequence that eventually leads them to put on their own sleuth caps and find ways to prove Do-ha’s innocence. Episode 7 has brought about a major twist as Sol-hee listened to Do-ha’s confession about not having anything to do with the murder case in question, however, the ringing bell in her mind tells her a different story. The trust crisis has kicked in and made things significantly tenser between the leading pair.
On the other hand, Syaon’ character, whom the netizens refer to as a “walking red flag” has again made matters worse, and viewers have been driven to the edge with their patience being tested by this character’s ignorance and petty attitude on a weekly basis. They’re now demanding Do-ha “to file a restraining order against Syaon” as she keeps using his trauma triggers to her convenience by manipulating everything.
Coming back to Sol-hee’s powers, some viewers are even considering that there may be some loophole associated with her abilities to detect lies which she isn’t aware of yet, and the same has contributed to this misunderstanding between her and Do-ha. Except the ongoing tensions, netizens have also taken note of a similar parallel in both of these characters’ individual arcs as well since both their mothers fail to empathise with their situations.
Even though the path is only becoming more challenging for both the viewers and these titular characters, the Episode 8 preview has also reignited some faith as fans are holding on to the belief that Sol-hee will soon offer Do-ha the consolation he’s so long been looking for.
