My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 12 Recap
On one front, Bakugo is on the brink of death, with his heart having stopped completely. Despite Best Jeanist’s efforts to repair his heart, he’s unable to do much for Bakugo’s severely damaged body. Meanwhile, Yoichi informs Deku that All For One is growing stronger by the minute. We see this unfold as All For One begins to reverse his age, becoming younger instead of succumbing to the flames.
It turns out All For One used a replica of Eri’s quirk, which can restore a person’s health or abilities to their original state. This allows him to return to his prime, though there’s a catch—eventually, he’ll self-destruct. Before that happens, however, he plans to reach Tomura and free him from the cage specifically designed to contain him.

Elsewhere, the situation worsens. Dabi is not only alive but he’s come back stronger than ever. He managed to survive and remain unscathed by replicating Shoto’s final move. This was inevitable, as even Shoto recognized that Dabi’s strength wasn’t just due to talent but also to relentless hard work. His ability to amplify his powers at will has allowed him to emerge from what seemed like certain doom.
The heroes battling Tomura face an especially grim outlook. They’re acutely aware that their chances of recovery are slim, particularly with Bakugo on the verge of death due to his damaged heart. However, they refuse to give up, as evidenced by Mirko, Mirio, and the others who continue to fight fiercely.
My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 13 Review and Recap

We have received another banger episode from this series. After a quick rundown of the past events, we are swiftly taken to the segment where Deku has finally appeared in front of Tomura in record time. But how did he manage to do that? Well, remember the American crew that Cathleen Bate came with? They have not left Japan yet, even after getting direct orders from their superiors. Deku increases his speed and reaches his destination faster thanks to their systematic support.
But when he went there and saw the mayhem in front of him, it was obvious that he went into utter shock. Not only that, but when he witnessed the lifeless body of his friend lying there Deku plunged into despair, a feat that Tomura wanted from the very beginning. He knew the moment Deku flew into a mindless rage, his attacks would not have as much prominence or good execution. Deku will be predictable and this is exactly what Tomura aimed for when he started to target Bakugo.

But what he forgot is that Lemillion was also present there who is very much like All For One. His words of encouragement and reassurance bring Deku back from his hopeless anguish. I love that Lemillion mimics the same sentiments of All For One when he says it is okay to do lip service because who else can transform ideals into realities?
Thanks to him, we got to witness one of the greatest battles ever between Deku and Tomura, where Deku was able to use 100% of his powers. This time he is not using his beta powers just for support, but rather he transformed these quirks into their best and most powerful versions.

Verdict
Today’s episode was very good as it had one of the best animations ever. The tone of the episode was also intense and you could feel the impending doom. Things are definitely not going to be over anytime soon but it is good to see that all the players have finally reached their proper destinations for their most important battle.
