My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 9 Recap

This episode opens with the news that Shoto has finally defeated his brother, Dabi, causing widespread elation among the heroes. Mina, Red Riot, and Mineta, who are engaged in their own battle against those targeting Gigantomachia, are overjoyed by their classmate’s success.

All Might also hears the news and is thrilled. Initially worried that Deku’s relocation would jeopardize their plan, he now feels victory is within reach, thanks to Shoto’s triumph. The other heroes, buoyed by this achievement, experience a significant morale boost.

At the base where Kurogiri is held, Spinner, who has gained more quirks, refuses to believe that the powerful and vengeful Dabi could be defeated so early. Elsewhere, Kunieda, an escapee from Tartarus, prepares to face Aoyama and Fat Gum.

The episode’s central conflict involves Endeavor, Hawks, and All For One. Endeavour learns of his younger son’s victory over Dabi and, despite his sorrow, resolves to continue fighting. However, All For One’s psychological manipulation exploits Endeavor’s guilt over past mistakes, putting him at a disadvantage. Just as All For One gains the upper hand, Earphone Jack and Tokoyami arrive to support Endeavor.

In this episode, we will see Jiro and Tokoyami get heavily wounded in their fight. Jiro loses one of her Earphone jacks, so it is possible that her quirk might not work properly anymore. We might also see Deku finally reaching the place where Shigaraki is being held. Other than that, we will most probably see others fighting their own battles.
