My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 1 Review: A new episode from season 7 of the famous My Hero Academia is here and it has the potential to be the best season so far. Let us look at how MHA Season 7 episode 1 fared.
My Hero Academia Season 7 Overview
My Hero Academia Season 7 or Boku no Hero Academia 7th Season (僕のヒーローアカデミア 第7期) is created by Kōhei Horikoshi. Here, the story is set in a world where almost everyone has superpowers, known as Quirks. These powers are commonplace, but our hero, Izuku Midoriya, is a boy born without these so-called Quirks. However, he too has dreams of becoming a superhero.
The director of the anime is Nagasaki Kenji, and Nakayama Naomi, while Kuroda Yousuke will handle the script and Series Composition. Nagasaki Kenji previously worked on the previous seasons of My Hero Academia, No.6, Classroom☆Crisis, etc.
The opening song of My Hero Academia Season 7 will be Ta ga Tame (誰我為)” by TK from Ling tosite sigure, and the ending theme is Tsubomi (蕾)” by Omoinotake.
I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler-free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

My Hero Academia Season 7 Episode 1 Review and Recap – Star And Stripe Is Here!

The moment that we have all been waiting for is finally here and to be honest, I am highly impressed. This episode is a direct continuation from season 6 and here we finally see the arrival of one of the most anticipated characters, Star and Stripe.
This episode opens with Deku thinking about the time when Ochaco defended him in front of many people. He is thankful that because of her he was able to come back to the place of his dreams, the U.A. Academy and now he has a much more important mission ahead. He knows that killing Tomura might be the only way to save him, but at the same time, he wants to genuinely do something for him that hopefully does not lead to ending his existence.

But things are very complicated in this season and I very much appreciate the world-building here. Here, we are seeing what the world is doing when Japan is at their biggest crisis with villains. Seeing how villains were able to cause mass destruction in Japan, villains from all over the world have also gained the confidence to wreak havoc. In such a dire case, Star And Stripe, who is the number one Hero in America has finally arrived to help her Master.
On the other hand, All For One describes how getting One For All is just his medium-term plan as there are many other things that he wants in the long term. Now that heroes and police officers are busy controlling the rampant villains, they do not have much time to focus on him and Shigaraki. Thus, he is planning to not only shut down Japan but the whole world by instigating other organisations; this is a scary as well as an admirable plan indeed.

But even he knows, if Star And Stripe intervenes with his goal, he can lose. So his most significant objective, for now, is to get hold of her quirk. But whether he will be able to do it or not, is something that you will have to find out by watching the episode yourself.
I agree that some of the middle seasons of MHA were not that impressive but from season 6, it has readily picked up pace and has become a pretty good show. On top of that, I love the way the tension is building in this episode which keeps you guessing about what might happen next.

Verdict
This episode was tense, full of hype and entertaining and it concludes with a big battle. Plus, the opening theme by TK is really good and it’s one of my favourite openings from MHA so far. The animation is also great along with good background music. I have high hopes for this season and I can not wait for the final showdown to happen.
