My Happy Marriage (My Blissful Marriage) or Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon (わたしの幸せな結婚) is an upcoming anime series which will be premiering on Netflix. Based on the light novel of the same name written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka, it also has a manga adaptation illustrated by Rito Kohsaka.
The anime series is directed by Takehiro Kubota under Kinema Citrus Studios. Ami Satō, Takahito Ōnishi and Momoka Toyoda are credited as the writers, and Evan Call gives the music. Licensed under Netflix, the series is scheduled to run for 13 episodes. The opening theme song is Anata no Soba ni (貴方の側に。, “By Your Side”) by Riria and the ending theme song, Vita Philosophica (ヰタ・フィロソフィカ), is performed by Kashitarō Itō.
The plot of the show is set in the early fictional years of Japan, where possessing supernatural powers holds the utmost form of respect. However, Miyo, following the death of her mother, leads a rather miserable life with her stepmother and stepsister. As she possesses no power, she is deemed as a useless member of the household, and everyone in the family devalues her. She is married off to a ruthless commander named Kudou, and her life completely changes since then.
In the latest episode, Miyo goes over to Kiyoka, who is in deep sleep due to his injury. However, Miyo enters his mind with the help of the Dream Sight ability and helps him defeat the demons. Moreover, it is revealed that the Emperor was behind the attacks. They both reunite and start to live together again.
The fans, as usual, take to social media platforms to express their opinions about the new episode. Everyone is highly satisfied with the finale episode. They are glad to see Miyo conquering her demons and ultimately saving Kiyoka. Moreover, they cannot wait for the second season to release!
