The first episode of Ms Marvel is out and, it is surely one of the coolest series that Marvel has put forward. The episode is directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah and written by Bisha K. Ali with a runtime of 46 minutes. It stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel along with Matt Lintz as Bruno Carrelli, Zenobia Shroff as Muneeba Khan, Mohan Kapur as Yusuf Khan, Saagar Shaikh as Aamir Khan and Laurel Marsden as Zoe Zimmer. In Ms Marvel Episode 1, we meet Kamala Khan, her family and friends. Audiences are given insight into Kamala’s obsession with Captain Marvel, the strict nature of parenting she governed with and her plan to go to the AvengerCon. By the end of the episode, we see Kamala get her superpowers when she puts on a bracelet sent by her grandmother as she suits up to win the Captain Marvel cosplay competition at AvengerCon.
Fans are really swooned by the visuals and the narrative of the first episode. One of the fans tweeted, “as a muslim marvel fan, the first episode of ms marvel made my day???? #MsMarvel.” Another user stated, “The first episode of #MsMarvel is actually very good, with a unique voice and a fun style this show is hopefully going to be one of the better shows.
