Ju-won finds comfort in Ji-hee and heals himself from the distress he faces at the office. He does try to resign but for the sake of Ji-hee and their house, he continues to work there unhappily. One day, Mr. Min returns and gives Ju-won a chance to join the new Black Op team and serve the country. Ju-won gives it a thought and gets the motivation from Ji-hee.

The next day, Ju-won joins the military troupe that is assigned to wipe off North Korean infiltrators who have come to South Korea. Ju-won misses Doo-sik. When the soldiers proceed, Raehyuk holds back Ju-won and tells him that someone among the North Koreans possesses a dangerous superpower. This alerts Ju-won and he rushes to save the soldiers. Many soldiers lose their lives and Ju-won pushes himself to save them. On top of a mountain, he finds a man with insane strength pushing the rocks. He reaches the top and fights with him. However, the infiltrator throws Ju-won down and escapes.

Ju-won returns home with a clouded mind. Mr. Min brings in three new superhumans and forms the Black op team. They all proceed with their missions. Ju-won and Ji-hee welcome their daughter Hee-soo and all three of them spend their time happily. Ju-won goes on business trips to help the government and earns money through that. After years when Hee-soo is an adolescent, Ju-won leaves for a mission not knowing it will be a terrible day for him.
Moving Episode 13 Ending Explained
Ji-hee asks Hee-soo whether they want to get food and the mother-daughter duo go out. Meanwhile, Ju-won prepares to leave with his fellow agents on a mission and that is when he gets a distressing call. Ju-won rushes to the hospital and sees his daughter covered in blood opening her eyes. Moreover, her wounds heal quickly and he watches her sleeping in the bed without a scratch. This makes him understand that Hee-soo has inherited his power.

Ju-won comes to his senses and breaks down inside the lift around everyone since Ji-hee has sadly died in the accident. He goes to the floor where memorials are held. He struggles to wear the memorial dress but pushes himself to do it. When he enters the room, he looks at Ji-hee’s photo and controls his tears. Since he is her only family, he stands alone and promises Ji-hee that he will take care of Hee-soo before once again breaking down.
We weren’t shown the accident scene in this episode but only get to interpret that Ji-hee died due to it because, in one of the previous episodes, Hee-soo’s flashback shows Ji-hee inside a flipped car taking her last breath. There are chances of Mr. Min causing this accident or someone else. Or, it could have been an unexpected accident as well. In the next few episodes, we might get clarity on this question.
