Destined With You Episode 4 Preview: The fantasy romance drama series (이 연애는 불가항력) stars Rowoon, Jo Bo-ah, Ha Jun, and Yura in lead roles. It has been directed by Nam Ki-hoon who previously helmed Oh My Baby (2020) and Kiss Sixth Sense (2022). Noh Ji-sul serves as the writer of the show.

The drama revolves around Lee Hong-jo, a civil servant, and an ace lawyer, Jang Shin-yu who end up meeting unexpectedly. After she comes in the procession of an old wooden box that contains secrets and a sealed forbidden book, the connection between the two grows. It is discovered that Shin-yu suffers from a mysterious illness and the cure for it is in the hands of Hong-jo. The magical book which may be the cure brings the two closer and a romance brews between them.

Jo Bo-ah returns with this drama after recently starring in Tale of the Nine-Tailed 1938 as Nam Ji-ah. Rowoon was last seen in 2022’s Tomorrow as Choi Joon-woong. Ha Jun previously starred in Missing: The Other Side Season 2 as Shin Joon-was while Yura’s previous role was in Forecasting Love and Weather as Chae Yoo-jin. New episodes of Destined With You arrive on JTBC on Wednesday-Thursday at 10.30 PM. Previously, the timeslot was occupied by Miraculous Brothers.

The main plot of the series has been described by Netflix as: “A lawyer bound by a centuries-old curse becomes entangled with a civil servant who holds the key to his freedom thus igniting an unexpected romance.”

Destined With You Episode 4 Release Date and Time

The Korean TV series will air from August 23, 2023 – October 12, 2023. Episode 3 of the series will air on August 31 at 10.30 PM KST.

Destined With You Episode 4 Predictions

The fourth episode of the show is expected to be a key one in terms of showcasing the bond that is being formed between Hong-jo and Shin-yu. After the third episode ended with Shin-yu revealing that he likes her and also potentially being the one her love spell got cast, his behaviour towards her will be different than we have seen before. The preview for the fourth episode has also showcased that Hong-jo will try to find a way to uncast her love spell although in this process there is a chance that the two may develop real feelings for each other.

Destined With You Episode 3 Recap

The third episode of the drama showcased the after-effects of Hong-jo’s love spell. The final moments of the second episode showcased her casting the spell based on the secret book she received in the wooden box. After creating a potion that was resulted from casting the spell, Hong-jo tried to give the same to her office crush Jae-kyung (Ha Jun). While she missed out on seeing whether he consumed the potion, the episode featured her remaining anxious over the same.

Elsewhere, Shin-yu opened up to her about being cursed and suffering from an illness. The episode featured him seeking help from her to use a spell that cures illnesses from the book. While Hong-jo readily performs the ritual to cast the spell, it remains unknown if it has worked and saved his life. Amidst all this, Shin-yu also ended up breaking up with Na-yeon (Yura) without revealing the reasons for his illness or the curse.

After learning that a heartbroken Hong-jo took the day off from work following his refusal of her feelings, Jae-kyung also reaches out to her and asks to have coffee with her after work. This gesture of his makes her believe that the love spell may have worked. Although Shin-yu who keeps feeling uneasy about her meeting with Jae-kyung towards the end of the episode ends up finding out that it was he who drank the love potion instead of Jae-kyung. He then meets Hong-jo and also ends up confessing to her that he likes her.

Destined With You will be available to watch on JTBC and will stream on Netflix in select regions.
