Meanwhile, Sofia’s actions leave Emilio worried as he only sees her as a good friend and is aware that she may have feelings for him. However, he is not ready to take their friendship to that stage and tries to avoid and run away from Sofia as he has been doing all day. Sofia notices his odd behaviour and finally confronts him which leads to Emilio spilling out that he is aware of her feelings for him.

This leaves Sofia surprised as she laughs and tells Emilio that she is gay. Emilio is surprised by this but is also happy that he will not be losing his good friend due to any feelings of love. He even tells her that he is happy for her and about the fact that he has another “diverse” friend to add to his list.

Elsewhere, Rosa and Esmeraldo are asked to leave the bar after a long session of their drunk singing. This is when the two women realise that they have left their purses and with no money on hand they decide to flee. But their luck has gone bad as the car does not start and soon the bar owner catches up to them with cops accompanying him.

Back at the San Roman house, Francisco cannot wait any longer and wants to go out searching for his wife. Right then Jamie gets a call from one of the cops who caught the two women and tells him about what has happened. Jamie tells the news to the others and decides to accompany Francisco, Lidia and Manuel to get the two mothers back home.

However, the fight between the young couple hasn’t ended yet and with Manuel making divisions in their house and things, Lidia has had enough and asks him to pull over. The two then get out and Lidia apologises for what happened, promising him to never hide anything ever again.

Manuel tells her that while it is not easy to forgive her already, he too does not want to give up on their relationship and loves her too much to be angry for long. He will let go of this matter soon, maybe not right away but at any moment that two spend together. They finally make up and get back to finding their mothers.

The family soon reaches the place where the two women have been caught and upon reaching, the cops show an aggressive stance against Fracisco after hearing Esemerlada’s story. They are stopped by everyone and Jamie goes on to thank them for their help. He then goes to Rosa and finds out that she had been fearful the whole day as she thought that he was going to propose to her as she is not ready for marriage yet.

Jamie tells her that he only wanted to ask her to go on vacation with him and this comes as a relief to Rosa as she finally makes up with Jamie. Meanwhile, Francisco tries to make use of the atmosphere to apologise to his wife when Esmeralda stops him as she is angry that he did not believe her enough to know that she would always be by his side and fight with him during these hard times.

She is disappointed in his faith in her and does not want to talk to him for now. She then asks Rosa to drop her home and everyone leaves. Later that night, Rosa, Jamie and Emilio end the night on a happy note but what Rosa does not know is that Jamie had prepared a ring to propose to her.

The next day, Esmeralda asks Francisco to move out of the house as she will now take over the responsibility of solving the problem. She also tells him that giving her some alone time would be a better Mother’s Day gift as this is what she needs the most right now. However, this becomes a new problem for the young couple as Francisco finds shelter at their house.

And with this, the story of the two families is to be continued when the next festival arrives.
