Motel California Episodes 5 and 6 Discussions: Fans Are Finding it Hard to Put Up with the Push-and-Pull

Motel California Episodes 5 and 6 Discussions: As Lee Se-young and Na In-woo’s newest Kdrama heads over to another week, fans are taking part in some heated discussions on the internet because of the plot. The continuous misunderstanding and the “push-and-pull” vibe if finally catching up to the viewer’s irritation as their patience begins to break for the characters. While there are undoubtedly some saving points in the episodes, the overall vibe is a mess.

Motel California (모텔 캘리포니아) follows a young girl who leaves her hometown due to the numerous gossipers who cannot stop talking about her. While she builds a career in the city, she returns to her hometown at the peak of her career. However, this return brings her face-to-face with her first love who, unknown to her, has similar feelings for her. Will this reunion give them a new start? Directed by Kim Hyung-min, the drama stars Lee Se-young, Na In-woo, Choi Min-soo, Kim Tae-hyeong, and other cast members.

As the show finishes the first half of the plot, fans are trying to hold on until the end but are finding it hard with the plot leaving them in a loop of frustration and hope. With the relationship filled with misunderstandings giving viewers a tough time, the chemistry between Lee Se-young and Na In-woo is the silver lining of the show. There is no doubt that the chemistry the two actors are bringing is out of the world.

And adding to this is the kiss scene that finally gave fans a sigh of relief for some time. While the next episodes are sure to throw fans in a loop again, this brief relief is the strength they need to hold on through what’s going to come next. But that doesn’t mean that fans are going to hold back from pouring out their emotions on the internet. With social media and various forums taking the brunt of the script, we bring to you some discussions that you cannot miss out on. We bring to you discussions taking place on X (formerly known as Twitter), Reddit, and MyDramaList just for you!

One of the viewers wrote on Reddit, “This show should be called Motel California; where zero grown adults are capable of having a single productive conversation. Somehow the writer was unable to come up with any actual hurdles for the mains to overcome so they just gave them the emotional intelligence of 4 year olds and called it a day. Unfortunately for me I can’t quit the show because everyone is acting the heck out of it, and visually it’s amazing. The setting is great, the comedy is there to keep it engaging, the romance is INFURIATING.”

But some fans are also defending the ongoing loop as one writes, “I wouldn’t say that the push and pull is for no reason. FL is still dealing with a lot of trauma and she still feels not good enough to be loved by ML. She really needs to overcome the years of being looked down upon and being told that she’s not good enough.”

But off course, not everyone is on board as an X user writes, “I was in denial before, but yeah… Kang-hee is definitely toxic. Watching her and how she interacts because of her trauma is frustrating.. it’s a lot. #MotelCaliforniaEp5 #MotelCalifornia”

The comments have only begun and there’s more to go. So gear up and let’s take a look at what viewers say about the show!
