Miss Night and Day Episode 7 Recap

Episode 7 of “Miss Night and Day” picks up right where Episode 6 left off, with Ji-Ung sharing beers and chicken with a gamer girl, who does most of the feasting. Mi-Jin arrives at the chicken shop, startling Ji-Ung by throwing a drumstick at him to prevent him from drinking alcohol. She then takes his beer, pours it into an ice bucket, and spits in it to ensure he won’t touch it again. Claiming to be Ji-Ung’s girlfriend, Mi-Jin’s actions don’t faze the gamer girl, who starts a possessive fight over Ji-Ung.

The situation escalates when the gamer girl’s boyfriend, the “delivery guy,” arrives, recognizes Ji-Ung as the prosecutor, and tries to flee. Ji-Ung and Mi-Jin manage to detain both the gamer girl and her boyfriend. Ji-Ung and Byung-Duk are once again surprised by Mi-Jin’s timely appearance. She deflects their curiosity by expressing concern for Ji-Ung. As Ji-Ung walks Mi-Jin home, he overhears her talking to herself about keeping secrets for a reason, not due to mistrust. Despite his empathy issues, Ji-Ung saves Mi-Jin from a drunk man she accidentally aggravates. Ji-Ung assures Mi-Jin he will wait until she is ready to share her reasons, admitting he trusts her.

The “delivery guy” reveals that girls are sent into VIP rooms with alcohol and drugs when requested. Ji-Ung has him arrested. Meanwhile, Byung-Duk’s team captures footage of club bouncers disposing of boxes, likely containing evidence, in the mountains. At work, Lim Sun is approached by a woman claiming to recognize her from a previous job at a bank. Sun denies knowing her, but it’s revealed that Sun is Mi-Jin’s aunt’s name. This raises questions about whether the real Sun is dead and if Mi-Jin’s resemblance to her aunt will help unravel the mystery.

Everyone is invited to a work dinner, but Sun stands up for herself, requesting a daytime meal instead. Surprisingly, the boss agrees. Ko Won, already suspicious of Sun, discovers she has no personal information or registered phone number. Following her, he witnesses her transformation into Mi-Jin, confirming his suspicions. He finds clues at an internet café that add up: the same scar, bag, and keychain. Later, Mi-Jin realizes she’s being followed on her way home. The car looks like Ko Won’s, but it could also belong to the killer, leaving her frightened. She calls Ji-Ung to report the situation.

The next morning, a similar white car is parked near Mi-Jin’s house. Meanwhile, a woman stands outside the prosecutor’s office with a sign about her missing father, Ko Na-Heun, confirming he hasn’t run off but is indeed missing. Baek Chul-Kyu’s behavior grows stranger, and it’s revealed he’s left-handed, a detail that might later connect to the perpetrator Ji-Ung is pursuing. However, it’s possible that Chul-Kyu is innocent, with someone unexpected being the real culprit. Sun provides Ji-Ung with a list of cars ending in 6438. Before they can discuss it further, Ji-Ung receives a call from a policeman regarding his mother’s case.

Ji-Ung meets the former detective who handled his mother’s case, recalling his mother’s fear and her decision to hide information from the detective about another missing person, potentially Mi-Jin’s aunt. His mother’s subsequent disappearance remains a haunting mystery. The team goes out for an office dinner, but earlier in the evening, when the sun is still up. Sun’s karaoke performance of Apink’s “Mr. Chu” is a hit, but she feels unusually drunk after just one drink. Earlier, she had a strange encounter in the bathroom with a man she couldn’t clearly see.

Byung-Duk informs Ji-Ung that Baek Chul-Kyu used to be the director of Hwadong Medical Center. At the same time, a man in a burgundy cardigan (similar to Chul-Kyu’s attire) is seen entering a car with the number 6483, raising suspicions but also seeming too obvious. Drunk and trying to avoid more rounds of drinks, Sun is saved by Ko Won, who tells the group he’s taking her home. He whispers to her that the sun is setting soon, and she doesn’t have much time, surprising her. Already disoriented, Mi-Jin gets a call from Ji-Ung, who arrives just as the sun sets. She feels dizzy, and Ko Won catches her. When Ji-Ung sees her, it’s Mi-Jin, not Sun, in Ko Won’s arms, setting up a potential misunderstanding.
