Medaka Kuroiwa is Impervious to My Charms Episode 2 Recap

In the latest episode, Mona finds herself in yet another crisis over her growing fascination with Medaka. She remains baffled as to why he seems immune to her charms, especially when her beauty and allure have always captivated everyone around her. At school, Mona continues to be the centre of attention, with her peers still enamoured by her. Yet, Medaka stands out as the one person who remains unaffected, treating her with an unusual indifference.

Determined to win him over, Mona concocts new schemes to make Medaka fall for her and admit defeat. What she doesn’t realize is that Medaka isn’t entirely immune to her charms—it’s his responsibilities as a future shrine priest that compel him to avoid romantic entanglements. Early in the episode, Mona attempts to model for Medaka, striking alluring poses designed to steal his focus. However, Medaka maintains his composure, resisting any temptation and staying true to his discipline.

Meanwhile, another complication arises when Haruno, a reserved and quiet classmate, begins sneaking glances at both Medaka and Mona. Jumping to conclusions, Mona becomes convinced that Haruno has a romantic interest in Medaka. This revelation lights a fire under Mona, pushing her to accelerate her efforts. She even tries reinventing herself, donning glasses and acting like an academic, bookish girl to capture his attention. However, this approach also falls flat.

Today, as well, Mona tries her level best to make Medaka fall in love with her. Right off the bat, Mona starts her day with a boost of confidence by confirming how she still is the queen bee to everyone around her. She is even getting full support from Haruno, who thinks Mona has a crush on Medaka. And even though Mona says that that’s not the case, we all know it is true.

Thankfully, it is time for the school festival, and Mona has decided that she will dress up cutely to charm Medaka. She even tries on some outfits like a ghost or a maid, but then, she lands on the very sexy Bunny attire. Mona could not help herself but wear it just for fun, and guess what, that is exactly when Medaka walked in. How things go from here is something that I would urge you to see for yourself.

In the latter half of the episode, we see Mona’s class doing a Bunny cafe, where Mona is at the front, attracting customers, and Medaka is at the back, cooking. Haruna, the best wingwoman, sets Mona up with Medaka so that they can spend some time together. Here, another very interesting thing happens, and one of the biggest challenges of Mona’s life comes up.

In this episode, we can see Mona still heavily denying her feelings for Medaka. But from her expressions and the way she reacts in front of him, it is clear that her feelings have become more natural. There is also the fact that another girl is vying for Medaka’s attention.

I like today’s episode, as it was pretty entertaining from start to finish. This story has a repetitive trope, and you know what will happen, but at the same time, it’s not boring. The way everything is set up makes you want to laugh at Mona’s antics and root for her anyway.
