MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 37 Review: Cook Your Veggies!

MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 37 was an Elimination Challenge. In the previous episode, four contestants failed to impress the judges in the team challenge – Amir, Linda, Minoli and Sabina. For the Elimination Challenge, judges Andy Allen, Melissa Leong and Jock Zonfrillo take them at Alla Wolf-Tasker’s Dairy Flat Farm in Daylesford.

Alla Wolf-Tasker is known for producing fresh homegrown vegetables and herbs. The cooks are pretty excited to see Alla, especially Sabina. MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 37 is called Daylesford Vegetable Elimination Challenge, as these four contestants have to cook a veg dish using the produce from Tasker’s farm.

The contestants get 75 minutes to cook the dish. The least impressive dish will send its maker home. Sabina is quite excited to cook using the vegetables from the Dairy Flat Farm. She decides to cook pickled carrots with pesto and rye lavosh. The MasterChef Australia Season 13 judges and Alla are pleased to hear the idea of her dish.

Linda sounds worried as she usually cooks her veggies with fish sauce and many such ingredients. She wants to punch in a similar type of flavours using whatever options are available. Linda cooks a Laotian tomato dish with pickled cucumber. In the middle of her cook, he dish misses the punch she wanted but eventually gets it done right.

Amir is another contestant having a happy cook in the Elimination Challenge of MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 37. He picks up beetroots and cooks beetroot kebab with tabouleh and labneh. Unfortunately, when he keeps the beetroot in the grill to cook, the edges get burnt. Amir has no option but to take them out of the grill. But he’s worried that the inside part of the beetroot might be raw.

Minoli decides to get inventive for her vegetable cook. Instead of serving the veggies in their natural state, she decides to make sauces out of them. The MasterChef Australia Season 13 returnee makes charred capsicum sauce and green herb sauce to go with hr salt-baked beetroots and roasted potato. Jock and Alla are confused with the idea of her dish. Minoli gets emotional as she wants to get creative but doesn’t want to get eliminated again.

Alla Wolf-Tasker and the MasterChef Australia judges taste all the dishes in the tasting room. They love Linda’s Laotian tomato dish with pickled cucumber the most. The judges also enjoy Sabina’s pickled carrots with pesto and rye lavosh. The judges are not impressed with Minoli’s plating and are worried if she has hit the mark or not. But when they taste the dish, they are amazed by how it is packed with flavour and deliciousness.

Amir’s dish didn’t impress the judges much as the beetroots were burnt, and the texture was not right. Hence, he gets eliminated from MasterChef Australia Season 13.

MasterChef Australia Season 13 Episode 37: What’s next?

In the next episode, the contestants have to fight for immunity. The makers of the top four dishes will get a chance to go in the immunity challenge, and the winner of the same will be saved from Sunday’s elimination.
