Mashle Season 2 Episode 6 Review and Recap – Mash Vs Margarette

This episode starts off very promising as we see Margarette going off right from the beginning. He effortlessly defeats 2 mages and destroys their crystals, confirming his and others’ position in the next round. Thankfully, Mash did not have to fight his friend Lance, and he could automatically qualify with all his friends.
But his problems have just started as Margarette openly challenges Mash, and makes his interest in him clear in front of everyone. We get a bit more insight about Margarette and get to know that the year Rayne became a divine visionary, Margarette did not attend the exam. Otherwise, there is a high chance Margarette would have been selected in his place.
He is definitely the most powerful candidate in the divine visionary exam, but whether he is stronger than Mash or not completely depends, as their strength does not fall in the same category. One is a master magician, another one is the strongest being in perhaps the Mashle universe.
But before going up against Margarette, Mash had to display his strength towards another divine visionary who also came off as an interesting character. He is none other than Kaldo, who challenged Mash to a fun little game. From what we have seen of him, we can conclude that he is a good person at heart. Hopefully, we will see more of him later.
But the highlight of the episode is definitely the fact that Mash will go against Margarette in a one-on-one fight. Margarette has been itching to fight Mash for a very long time, and he will not let this opportunity slide to go all out. Plus, he has been specifically instructed by Orter to fight or potentially kill Mash, so we can be sure this whole face-off will be intense and entertaining.

Sadly, we get a very unsatisfied conclusion that would make you eager for the next episode. The stage is set, but only next week can we get the results of the battle.
Verdict
This was a good episode from Mashle, as it sets up the stage for one of the greatest battles ever. It also gives us a glimpse of just how powerful Kaldo is and how he might become an ally to Mash in the future. Now, the only thing we need to do is wait for the next episode, as we will finally see if Mash can defeat the strongest candidate for the divine visionary position in the school right now.
