Mashle Season 2 Episode 5 Review and Recap – A Friend In Need Is A Friend Indeed

Today’s episode was definitely the best one yet in this season, as this part displayed the importance of friendship more than ever. In this examination, Finn is in a pinch, because his other two teammates have already damaged their crystals, whereas he’s the only one with an intact one. Now, he cannot break it or let anyone else destroy it because that will lead to a definite loss, meaning no one can pass to the next level.
At first, Finn thought that would not be a problem as both Dot and Mash could protect him, only to discover that they all landed in different places. Now Finn must save himself from any enemies and meet his other team members as soon as possible. But that is when tragedy strikes as he comes face to face with Carpaccio, one of the strongest contenders to pass the divine examination with flying colors.
This episode gets one thing right which is showcasing the blend of comedy and action nicely. Finn also rises up as one of the strongest and best characters in the series, not just physically, but also mentally. He truly is the finest friend anyone can have, especially Mash. Finn knows how much this examination means for Mash to prove everyone wrong, and hence, he will do everything in his power to make Mash shine. Finn also beautifully exhibits how he can handle any difficult situation himself, and he is not lesser than his very talented brother.
This episode was also very action-heavy, with intense sequences and interesting moves. You cannot expect a normal move from Mash, as he will definitely take a route that you least expect when dealing with his opponents. The way he used his iron wand is not something anyone would think of, let alone attempt it. But Mash did it effortlessly.

He also proves that to be stronger than someone, you do not need magic, and he is indeed the mightiest of all. He can and will solve all his problems with strength alone.
Verdict
Today’s episode was again good, and entertaining. You start to respect Finn more because of his selfless actions. I would like to see how the next round will go, and whether Mash and his friends can finally pass the exam. Based on what I have seen yet, I recommend you check out this anime as it is slowly picking up its pace.
