Mashle Season 2 Episode 3 Review and Recap – Become A Divine Visionary
Right from the beginning of the episode, we see Margarette fighting with Rayne. Margarette showcases just how powerful he is by countering all of Rayne’s attacks. He even explains that the only reason Margarette did not apply to be a divine visionary is because he is not fond of labels or posts. As someone who is in search of true power, he does not care about the position of a divine visionary. In the fight, he is confident that he can come out at the top and defeat Rayne.

But what he doesn’t know is that Rayne is potentially the most powerful mage in terms of magic in the entire school. I was very impressed with how the revelation about Rayne was made, and I really did not expect him to put forward such an entertaining fight. We see how even though Rayne tries to portray he doesn’t care, it’s good to see that he looks out for Mash and hopes Mash can change society as he promises.
Though the outcome of the fight did not come to a proper conclusion, I do believe there will be a second part to it that we will witness in future episodes now that Margarette is interested with Rayne’s powers. These two really made the first half very enjoyable, as even the animation between the fights was great.
But that doesn’t mean the second half was bad. The latter half promises a good next episode as now Mash will enter the competition to become a divine visionary.
Even though he has no power, he still managed to acquire 7 coins, and perhaps this is why he is the most hated candidate in the competition. Amidst all the boos, he still stands strong even though he admits he would love to return home. But that will not stop him or his friends, who also managed to participate to perhaps win the whole thing.

Verdict
I really liked this episode as the action was good, and the animation was also nice. Now that the competition of divine visionaries has started, we can expect great things from this anime. Mash will have to face more challenges than ever now. I’m also sure Margarette is not done with Rayne, and he will definitely clash with him again.
The comedy here also works, especially during the board game where the game was literally predicting a very grim future for all the characters hilariously. This episode definitely got better than the previous two episodes of this season. And I hope they keep continuing this pace in the future as well.
