It is time for some more magic and muscles, as Mashle Episode 8 is the eighth episode of a show that promises to bring a lot of laughter across its runtime. Mashle is an action, comedy, and fantasy anime directed by Tomoya Tanaka and based on an original manga written by Hajime Koumoto. The series is being animated by Studio A-1 Pictures.
Mashe Burnedead isn’t a very popular personality in the world that he lives in. Living secretly in the forest, he trains his body every day, and despite not having any magical powers, he is strong enough to compete with magic users! However, upon having his secret identity revealed, and his peaceful life threatened, Mash begins his journey to becoming a “Divine Visionary,” a powerful role that society would have no choice but to accept his existence.
And so, to maintain his peaceful life, the magicless Mash enrols in the prestigious Easton Magic Academy, competing against the children of some of the most powerful and elite in the realm. Lacking the very skill needed to survive at Easton, magic, Mash appears to already be at a disadvantage to his fellow classmates. It seems like we are headed towards a “protagonists take on an assortment of numbered villains” kind of story with Mashle, and I am not against that happening. This has been seen done well in many anime and rejuvenates and brings excitement to most of them. However, the villains will need to have a whole lot more personality than they’ve had so far. It feels like we are headed towards the right direction with the plot of this show. Let’s hope that things are done well.

After becoming the owner of a second gold coin, the race to become the divine visionary is ever so close. Mash is receiving plenty of support from his housemates, as Lance and Dot are perfectly capable of knocking out a couple of Magia Lupus a piece, if not more. However, the main event for now seems to be Mash against the other person from Lupus, who appears to have the same powers as Mash, which is a dangerous predicament to be in.

The title suggests some more creatures coming into play for the show. Maybe it is another enemy’s power, or the school has another great plan to get the students mauled to death. Both seem equally feasible, a sad state of affairs.

Mash breaks into something sinister happening with Abel Walker and his cronies and is challenged and threatened by them. He manages to beat a puppet coming his way, sent by Abel to steal his golden coin and discovers that it is Silva, the Lang student he had recently defeated. He tricks Abel and leaves the room with Silva, and in the near future, faces down two other members of Magia Lupus with Lance helping him out.
