Dot Mashle Episode 6

Does it really count as a spoiler when it is the most obvious thing ever that was always going to happen and extremely predictable? If so, be prepared for spoilers in this review because I’m going to talk about how Mash absolutely kicked the villain’s ass. This was the most fun I’ve had watching this show, and it is at its best when it isn’t trying to establish a janky world and is instead focused on the characters behind it all. Or rather, how exactly would Mash knock out every other human in the show.

Silva, the evil dude with two lines across his face, multiple earrings, and an ego the size of Mount Everest, was always going to be a rough match for anyone who went up against him. We see him bully a lot of people in Mashle Episode 6, and the chief amongst them is the newly introduced Dot, who displayed some very impressive character strength in this episode. He is far nobler and sturdier than he initially appeared to be, and his resilience was a high point of the episode.

Silva gets Punched Mashle Episode 6

Some might claim that the point Mash entered the story was too late, or what he did to Silva wasn’t enough, but we need to start being serious for a minute. He isn’t going to start killing people, no matter how dumb he is or how little he seems to care about things. There has to be a limit, and his limit seems to lie somewhere between beating people up and pummeling them within an inch of their life. He might not even have joined in if his Cream puff hadn’t been destroyed, which is certainly something to consider.

As expected, Mash absolutely destroyed the guy in a moment that was as euphoric as it was fun. It was always coming, but the show did well with the anticipation and building Rod up while making us wait for the inevitable. The scene was also very funny as it combined several elements of the previous episode to set up a couple of great jokes. This episode was also very successful in setting up some promising story arcs in the future while not compromising anything in quality.

There was also a fun little segment about the sorting ceremony, which went exactly as you would expect. That’s the thing about Mashle- you always know what you’re going to get from putting an episode on. There are never many surprises with this, and a lot of that is because the source material it is borrowing most of its setting from is so well-known. Still, it manages to add enough of its own flair to it to stand out. Mashle Episode 6 also featured some decent direction ideas, a few great frames for production, and a very fun watch overall.

Verdict

Mashle Episode 6 was another very fun outing for a show that keeps getting better and finding its footing as new episodes keep coming. This is turning out to be a worthwhile experience.
