Mashle Episode 10 Review- Divine Visionary

Finn Dot Mashle Episode 10

An interesting twist came at the start of this episode- Mash and Friends and Magia Lupus aren’t the only ones interested in the secrets that these dungeons currently hide. Somebody else has wandered in, and he is perhaps the only person in there enjoying himself less than the weaker among Mash’s friends. For him, it is not because he is weak or afraid of the Magia Lupus. On the contrary, things couldn’t be simpler for him, for he is a Divine Visionary, much like the title of the episode and the ultimate goal of Mash and Abel.

That was an entertaining wrench to throw on top of everything that was going on and certainly made the episode a lot more enjoyable than it would have been without it. This move also improved the pacing of the final two episodes. Whereas before his entry, it would have been hard to make sense of Mash not immediately going to Abel to fight him for all that he is worth, while Dot and Finn struggled with the rest of the Lupus. It also did wonders for the fight between Finn/Dot and Magia Lupus.

Divine Visionary Mashle Episode 10

No matter how much they tried or how many transformations and power boosts Dot pulled out, they were never going to win, with Finn being as useless as he was. Despite being half of the team in this fight, Finn could have been replaced with a cardboard cutout in this episode, and it wouldn’t even have changed slightly. Finn has the potential to be another decent character like Lance and Dot but hasn’t been given a chance to do anything of importance yet. However, the events of this episode might change that ever so slightly.

The fights in this episode were decent, but not because of the players you already know. Dot’s fight against Love Cute was nothing to write home about. Both of them used their generic magic, one of them almost defeated the other, and then something happened which transformed the face of the battle. If the magic used was any more creative, we could have had something in Mashle Episode 10. However, it was not to be. Is magic supposed to be this boring?

We have finally reached the end of this series, with the next week’s episode being the final one. Mash got some screen time in this episode from a very good source, and the scene shared between the two was great and easily the best part of the episode. It was funny, and the chemistry between the characters was culpable. As Mash heads towards his final battle, at least for this season, the show’s vision and quality remain the same as it began- weak. Let’s see if we are at least able to end this on a good note!

Verdict

Mashle Episode 10 was a decent episode that set things up well before the finale. The fights were okay, but the newly introduced character stole the show and saved the show’s pacing.
