Marry My Husband Ending Explained: Will Ji-hyuk Be Able to Escape His Fate? What Future Awaits Ji-won?

Marry My Husband (내 남편과 결혼해줘) tells the story of a woman who gets a second chance at life for revenge and a love that she almost missed. Directed by Park Won-gook, Seong So-jak’s manhua adaptation of the same name stars Park Min-young, Na In-woo, Lee Yi-kyung, Song Ha-yoon, Lee Gi-kwang, and Gong Min-jung, alongside other cast members.

The Kdrama brings the story of Kang Ji-won whose life takes a turn when she discovers her husband having an affair with her best friend. However, before she can do anything about it, she is sent to death. That is when she wakes up to find herself 10 years in the past with a chance to make things right. But will she find something more than just revenge?

Towards the end of the finale, we see Su-min being taken away by the police while Yu-ra finds herself in deep trouble after Su-min’s father makes a statement against her. With no other choice left, she plans to leave the country and takes the tickets in her subordinate’s hands to flee alone.

However, the speeding car while being anxious to escape doesn’t do her well as she soon meets the fate that was meant for Ji-hyuk. The next day, Ji-hyuk notices that his mark is no longer on his chest and rushes to show Ji-won the same. The two are awestruck by this but soon understand what this means when news about Yu-ra’s accident which caused her death is displayed.

The two are shocked by this and do not notice the cat, Pang, roaming near them with petals all over him as if he has just come from outside. Elsewhere, Joo-ran’s divorce is finalised and she is free from her toxic marriage. With this, she happily heads to meet Ji-won and Hee-yeon who are waiting for her at Eun-ho’s new restaurant where they are ready to celebrate.

Later, Ji-won casually shows her uncertainty towards her future with Ji-hyuk and he does not leave the matter until he makes it clear that they are going to be together for a long time. Soon, work goes back to normal and new products are being tested by the team. However, the change this time is seen in Kyung-wook who apologises for his behaviour.

Meanwhile, Ji-hyuk surprises Ji-won by bringing her favourite gukbap place near their company and Ji-won decides that it is finally time to move a step forward. The same weekend, she takes Ji-hyuk to their college campus where she brings him the spot where their story began.

She proposes to him right there but is surprised when Ji-hyuk shows an angered face and walks away. Ji-won is shocked by his behaviour but the emotions soon change when Ji-hyuk returns with a bouquet and tells her that she can do anything except for a proposal. He then gets down on one knee and presents the ring that he has been carrying all this while to propose to her.

The proposal is a success and the two share a kiss in their happy moment. Elsewhere, Su-min is slowly losing her mind as she talks to others telling them of how Ji-won has destroyed her life. She then sees hallucinations of Min-hwan and wakes up screaming for Ji-won while news of Ji-won’s wedding is displayed on the television in her prison cell.

Soon, the day of Ji-won and Ji-hyuk’s wedding arrives and in the presence of their family and friends, the two tie the knot. Ji-won’s old bullies also arrive and are seen by Eun-ho. They tell him that they are genuinely happy for Ji-won and only wish the best for her. Later, Ji-won throws the bouquet and Hee-yeon catches it and presents it to Eun-ho.

The wedding ends on a happy note with smiles and laughter everywhere. Sometime later, Ji-won starts a Second Chance Foundation which supports those who are desperate for a second chance to begin their life again. With a wish to give these people another chance in life, the foundation is set to help them in any way possible.

A few years down the lane, Ji-won is busy handling her newborn twins with Ji-hyuk. The two new parents struggle to handle the two newborns but keep working hard each day. Years later, it is finally 2023 and Ji-won welcomes another new member of their family.

The twins are with Han-il and Hee-yeon who are confused by their motto to be each other’s land, while Ji-won and Ji-hyuk arrive at an art exhibition. There, they stand in front of a painting of spring and remember the last spring in their past lives which ended on this very day. As they smile at the art presented by an artist who got a second chance through their foundation, the two smile at the blooming second chance that they’ve received.

Finally, Ji-won once again thanks her father for this and says that she is happy.
