Marilyn’s Eyes: All You Need to Know About Netflix’s Upcoming Italian Drama

Netflix’s foreign-language release slate is ever-expanding with Marilyn’s Eyes being the latest addition. The 2021 Italian comedy is one of the first releases of the third week of March 2022 along with the live animation titled Adam by Eve. Also known as Marilyn ha gli occhi neri, the film is set against the backdrop of psychology and psychiatry. The film is helmed by director Simone Godano, with a screenplay by Giulia Louise Steigerwalt. Matteo Rovere serves as the producer of the movie and Greenland with Rai Cinema production house is involved.

Distributed in Italian by 01 Distribution, the upcoming Netflix film has photography by Matteo Carlesimo, assembly by Gianni Vezzosi, music by Andrea Farri, scenography by Tonino Zera and costumes by Sonu Mishra. Ahead of the film’s release, let us have a breeze through some must-know details.

The film stars Stefano Accorsi as Diego and Miriam Leone as Clara Pagani, along with Thomas Trabacchi as Paris, Orietta Notari as Susanna, Marco Messeri as Aldo, Andrea Di Casa as Chip, Ariella Reggio as Adelaide and Valentina Oteri as Gina.

Marilyn’s Eyes Plot/Synopsis

Netflix’s description for the film reads: “Food brings together a creative pair at a psychiatric hospital. As they turn a fictional restaurant into reality, they must find a recipe for healing.” The platform defines the film further as quirky belonging to the comedy-drama genre.
