Maestra Ending Explained
Towards the end of the finale episode, we see the stage set to carry out Se-eum’s plan to lure Luna from her hiding. She has made sure that their performance is broadcast everywhere so that Luna is forced to come on stage. The concert soon begins and Se-eum takes up the stage as a conductor for the last time as they begin their first performance.
The performance is carried out as flawlessly as ever as emotions are all poured out in this magical moment. While the performance is being broadcast, Yu-ra tells Han-gil that she has decided to focus on work and let go of Jeong-jae which leaves the latter surprised. Meanwhile, Luna too watches to live broadcast while holding a ticket that can help her escape the city on the other hand.
As she decides between her dream and her freedom, the first performance comes to an end and the stage is cleared to be prepared for the next performance. Se-eum dresses up for the stage while Dong-sik informs her that there is no sign of Luna yet. Se-eum nods and tells Oh Hyun-seok to continue the performance as scheduled and the two make their way to the stage.

The performance soon begins and Se-eum leads the orchestra with her violin, but soon, she isn’t the only one playing as Luna enters the concert hall and accompanies Se-eum. She walks up to the stage, next to Se-eum, and the two bring about their flawless harmony with their violins.
As the notes rise and fall, the two carry on with the performance while flashbacks of their time together are brought about. Luna may look like someone not dressed for this performance, but what she sees is that this is the perfect moment where nothing is missing. With this, the performance soon comes to an end and the audience cannot help but be awestruck by the beautiful performance that has been brought about.

The scene then changes to Se-eum’s dressing room where Luna can only think about the performance she got to put together with Se-eum. Right then, Jeong-jae and the police enter the room and Luna is brought back to reality as Se-eum tells her that she will need to pay for what she has done.
Luna soon calms down, takes out a knife from her violin case and begins to move towards Se-eum which alerts Jeong-jae. He rushes to stand in between the two women while Luna tells Se-eum that she will become someone Se-eum cannot forget, after which she stabs herself in the neck.
The scene once again changes to sometime later when Se-eum is prepared to leave for a well-deserved trip after the farewell party at Hanphil. But before she goes to the party, she meets Kim Phil and realises that he has lost his memories and is believed to be living in the time before the two got married.
This is an after-effect of the drug and even the doctors do not know what to say about his condition. Se-eum then leaves for the party with Hanphil and properly says goodbye to them over lunch before making her way to her mother’s grave.
There, she opens the envelope containing the result of her Remington’s disease test. Reading the result, Se-eum leaves a sigh of relief as the fear of the known has finally left her. With this, she makes her way out where she sees Jeong-jae waiting for her. He tells her that he has quit his job and will now be accompanying her on her trip.
Se-eum subtly accepts his offer and the two walk towards a new beginning of their own.
