On February 19th, 2025, South Korean Boyband LUN8 Butterfly MV was released and fans love everything from the graceful choreography to the depth of this new song. With melancholic vibes, and a sad beauty that is hard to resist, this song has it all and K-pop lovers are enjoying the beauty of the music video as a whole. Meanwhile, the tunes of the song are unique, soothing, and worth the attention the band is garnering at the moment.

LUN8 is an eight-member boy band who made their debut on June 15, 2023, with their mini album Continue? The group consists of the members- Yuma, Chael, Jinsu, Takuma, Junwoo, Dohyun, Ian, and Ji Eun-ho; who debuted with the said name which carries the meaning “eight boys who embrace the moonlight”. Butterfly is the group’s first single album to be released since their debut, however, the members Yuma, Dohyun and Eun-ho did not participate in the same for various reasons.

While the song is definitely missing some members, the band still manages to bring out their magic which is captivating and too beautiful to miss out on. The song not only synchronizes with the pain of the viewers but also brings to us a magical moment where you can feel the lyrics with ease. With this, let’s take a look at the music video review that we have here for you!

LUN8 Butterfly MV Review

We have to start with the vibes this song brings with its beauty and depth, going beyond the mainstream catchy tunes, this song brings us a masterpiece that isn’t easy to find these days. The song begins with a soothing tone that hints at a melancholic story ahead, and slowly these vibes ease in and you find yourself drawn into the song. But right then, the choreography hits the screen and you will see yourself drawn to the beauty the members of the band are bringing to you.

The choreography is truly fascinating and hard to miss, and emphasizing the effect of these moves is the smooth cinematography that eases everything for our eyes. The transitions and the camerawork are truly magnificent as they not only go by in a steady flow but also bring our attention to every single detail that is of importance in a beautiful manner. The details are given the right amount of attention which makes it hard to miss for viewers and we love this aspect of the music video.

Moving on from here, we have to talk about the vocals of the group members who are carrying the song so wonderfully to us all. They not only harmonise and highlight each other’s charm but also stand out on their own with every passing scene. The way every single one of them stands out is what strikes me as I am able to pay attention to them all. The vocals of the members stand out and leave me stunned in some parts when they hit the notes just right.

Then there are the lyrics that talk about a heartbreaking relationship between a flower and a butterfly, with the former being left behind in a wait that is eternal. These words not only strike a chord within us but speak of such a relationship with such beauty that you cannot help but be moved.

Altogether, the music video is a wonderful piece of art and surely one that K-pop fans need to check out this month!
