Love Take Two Episode 9 Recap

Picking up from last week, Jeong-seok and Ji-an, despite getting close on the beach, seem to draw a boundary. However, the next day, it’s clear that Ji-an has a spring in her step and makeup on her face! She meets up with Jeong-seok and goes out on a date, although they are both a bit awkward around each other. Meanwhile, Hyo-ri is excited to learn that Sook is about to visit her.

Elsewhere, Ji-an takes it upon herself to fix an almost broken wall, and Mimi enlists Yeo-jeong to help her out. Although she is annoyed at first, the two end up getting along somewhat well. Yeo-jeong ends up opening up about her past with Ji-an, who offers helpful advice and relates to some of her grief. Unfortunately, she falls from a ladder and ends up hurting herself. In the end, she ends up telling her about her troubling journey while staying in the USA, and then Ji-an gets an earful from Jeong-seok for putting her nose where it doesn’t belong.

Later, she reflects on Yeo-jeong’s words about getting back together with Jeong-seok and can’t help but question her choices. The next morning, Jeong-seok apologises to Ji-an and shares her thoughts about Yeo-jeong, encouraging him to repair his relationship with her and recreate their family unit. Jeong-seok is left heartbroken at the confession and, after she leaves, laments that he was angry thinking about her getting injured, not Yeo-jeong.

Heartbroken, he goes day drinking with Chief Ko’s husband, who encourages him to start over and find love once again. Thinking back about catching Yeo-jeong cheating years ago, Jeong-seok is left to think of his options carefully, while Ji-an’s kind gesture leaves Mimi overwhelmed.

Either way, Jeong-seok and Yeo-jeong sit down by the beach to talk, and she talks about Bo-hyeon taking Bo-hyeon to do a course in Germany and asks him to join them. However, he opens up about what he saw that day and tells her to stop whatever she’s trying to do. She begs him to stay and not give up, but he is just unable to get over the betrayal. Yeo-jeong is surprised that Ji-an knows more about Jeong-seok at every turn, mentioning that she had told her this exact thing.

Realising that there’s nothing left there, she apologises to him and tells him that Ji-an is simply better than her in every way. At home, Moon-hee encourages Ji-an to go to Jeong-seok and confess her feelings; however, it’s Hyo-ri’s encouragement that ultimately pushes her to run to Jeong-seok.

They run across each other on the road and confess each other’s feelings, end up in each other’s arms.

Love Take Two Episode 9: Oh Na-ra, Park Hae-joon

In the midst of the gloom and doom of the last few episodes (which were all really good), this one feels like such a great break in between that is not only refreshingly positive but also sheds some light on Jeong-seok and Yeo-jeong’s relationship. There’s no oversharing and neither is there too much melodrama, but somehow, the series gets everything just right once again. It’s hard to not grin from ear to ear while watching the episode, and the warmth that every moment exudes feels hard to ignore. All in all, another fantastic entry.
