Netflix dropped Love Never Lies Destination Sardinia (Amore con fianza: Destino Cerdeña) on 11th November 2022, Friday. The reality TV competition show has 6 couples who are separated from their partners. It is their first real test of love.
The show’s host, Spanish Singer Monica Naranjo, arranges for an EyeDetect Test and Ceremony of Truth in between the competition to let the couples know if their love is honest.
Love Never Lies Destination Sardinia: Rules
There are no rules to be followed. That’s what this show is all about. Couples love in separate villas from their partners, and their love is tested by bringing in ‘distractions’ in the form of hot single men and women. The distractions are supposed to attract contestants and make them cheat on their partners.
It is entirely on the couples if they want to follow the rules of their relationship or become rule breakers, in which case they will have to face the EyeDetect Test.

Love Never Lies Destination Sardinia: A Recap
The first seven episodes show couples entering two extravagant villas in Sardinia. They are introduced to each other and receive a welcome from the show’s host, Monica Naranjo. Five couples come with a supposedly strong bond but, a sixth couple has its relationship on rocks. This couple is referred to as the ‘Half Couple’ in the show.
The couples are then taken to the Ceremony of Truth and have to sit through their first EyeDetect Test, which reveals that their relationships are not so strong after all.
After the first episode, Monica asks the couples to go their separate ways and challenges their relationships one by one. While contestants of the first villa are introduced to their distractions, their original partners in the second villa are allowed to see short clips of their partners.
This is where manipulation plays a big role. The contestants can only see what the show makers want them to see. It’s all about playing with their feelings and emotions.
After the first few episodes, distractions from the first villa have to bid goodbye to their ‘new partner’. The contestants then sit through the ceremony of truth and the EyeDetect test before the next challenge. The show takes a turn when new distractions make an entry for the second villa now.
It’s time to seek revenge on their partners. It’s on the second villa people whether or not they want to trust their partners or cheat on them with their new and sexy distractions. ‘The EyeDetect test’, which is supposed to help partners make a decision about their relationship, actually confuses them. Bonds break, and trust is broken in this show of love.
This show is an all-inclusive competition with straight couples, gay couples and lesbian couples who are given another chance to discover themselves. The show is filled with nudity, scandals and steamy affairs to make it entertaining for the audience.

Love Never Lies Destination Sardinia: Finale
The show ended on a cliffhanger. Some bonds have broken, some have gotten stronger, and some couples are still confused about their relationship. The makers have decided to test their audience as well by not releasing the final episode with the rest of the series.
The 8th and final episode of the show will drop on 17th November. If you have watched the show so far, I am sure you must be excited about the Finale.
