Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episodes 5-8 Review: In yet another instalment of this extremely popular reality television show, also known as Casamento às Cegas Brasil, we have Camila Queiroz and Klebber Toledo returning as hosts, introducing our contestants through booths, with the men on one side and the women on the other. The men cannot see any of the women, and it will be like that until one of them proposes and brings this thing to an end. The top ten participants included Karen Bacic, Daniela Silva, Maria Carolina Caporusso, Ágata Moura, Bianca Sessa, Daniel Manzon, Renan Justino, Valmir Reis, Jarbas Andrade and Menandro Rosa.

Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episode 5

As the episodes progress, the reason why the show doesn’t work, or at least this season, is because there is nothing new to explore. It becomes clear that the contestants regurgitate their problems over and over again to milk some drama from it. There is absolutely no necessity of doing that because, after a point of time, the contestants realise that if they didn’t know enough about the person to begin with, there probably isn’t anything good to pick a fight about. It is absolutely devastating to note that half their problems would be solved if their internalised misogyny didn’t take over the whole show.

However, it does get mildly better when the families are added because they acknowledge that the experiment of proving whether love is actually blind or not is absurd. But the contestants’ kids truly make the experience worth it because the couples do seem particularly excited to interact with them. While this is clearly a temporary solution to their situation, the whole idea of the show falls apart, as the contestants cannot string together a sentence worth of reasons why they love their partners.
For something like Insta-love, at least their reasons for love should have made sense. Clearly, the premise of the show itself is flawed and considering the way the contestants are progressing, it is evident that they are not making any of this better. The only healthy couple among these is actually Bianca and Jarbas, who actually have a strong connection between them.

Sometimes, things happen with the contestants that make this writer wonder why they would continue being on the show. Even after going through something traumatic, they come right back on camera. All of this really throws the whole plot off. If this were a more ironic look at the reality television genre, it would have been hilarious, but so far, it is just cringe. They often have first-world problems and seem to have run out of reasons to pick up a random fight.

Things are progressing pretty well with all the couples, and so far, there hasn’t been any kind of drama, but of course, since conflict sells, they have characters doing the most uncharacteristic things ever. All of this mystery is getting so old. The drama is outdated. The family and character dynamics are outdated. However, it is interesting to see some of the characters handle their family issues in the most mature way, which was truly unexpected from the last time when everything was so over the top.
Love is Blind Brazil Season 3 Episodes 5-8 Review: Final Thoughts
Surprisingly, the four episodes that were released this week aren’t as excruciating as the last four. However, it is still the same level of boring as everything. Conflict is present everywhere, and if someone is really looking for drama, there are a lot of other shows and movies that give the same energy. Not only does this affect the lives of real people without any consequence, but it also creates a negative string of behaviour, especially since things on television have the ability to entice a lot of people.
This show is perfect for people who like petty conflict and reality television that pretends that the camera doesn’t exist. For others who don’t particularly enjoy reality shows, this is not a good starting point.
