After the towel-dropping incident, episode 3 shifts its focus from Jae-hee instantly trying to stay away from the awkwardness to focusing on the case. As much as Jae-hee and Yi-jun get closer, we see the situation is turning rather sinister. I have a feeling Jung Da-woon might be a villain, but let’s not judge too quickly. It could also be Kim Si-hyun, but so far he is one of Yi-jun’s best friends. Let’s see how it all unfolds.
Love in Disguise episode 3 has a runtime of 60 minutes. The series (나의 유죄인간/My Guilty Man) stars Yim Si-wan, Seol In-ah, Kim Jung-hyun, Yeon Woo, Jeong Han-seol, Kim Do-yoon and Jung Yoo-min in the lead roles. It is directed by Park Dan-hee.
Love in Disguise Episode 3 Review
A Knight, a Princess and a Dangerous Attraction
The episode begins with Yi-jun falling and Jae-hee catching him in her arms. As the towel falls, Yi-jun and Jae-hee’s faces go pale as the moon. This scene matters because Yi-jun says his ideal woman is brave. So the moment the truth about Jae-hee’s disguise comes out, the chances of their romance will spike up.
Despite getting closer, Yi-jun is still difficult to read. Jae-hee wants to check that one particular room in his house but controls herself to not get caught. As Yi-jun dresses up, he fixes Jae-hee’s tie, and it flusters her. He does notice it but lets it go without any second thoughts. He still thinks Jae-hee is a man who is brave and a bit shy. Or Yi-jun might already be aware that Jae-hee is a woman.
The Milk Mystery Takes a Sinister Turn
Yi-jun notices that his milk bottle has 10ml more milk than it usually has, and he suspects something. However, Jae-hee doesn’t take it seriously. He also insists that Jae-hee stay beside him as he tries to sleep. It is evident that his paranoia affects him. Another nightmare hits him, and Yi-jun struggles to sleep. He even meditates and pulls Jae-hee to do the same.
Just when Yi-jun plans to sleep, Jae-hee falls asleep faster, leaving Yi-jun to stare at her as she sleeps. The romance is brewing underneath. As morning comes, Jae-hee notices the steel bowl is black, as she left the milk for Jerry. Jae-hee realises that someone is tampering with the household things to cause harm to Yi-jun. Jae-hee hides the bowl and sends the milk to Seok-jin for investigation. Jae-hee now no longer focuses on just the murder of Secretary Han but also on who is a big threat to Yi-jun’s life.
A Secret Room and a Missing Phone
Jae-hee finally sneaks into the mystery room at Yi-jun’s house. She notices some artwork and, among them, sees a painting that leads to a hidden room. Inside, she finds a phone and believes it might be Han’s.
This discovery comes after Yi-jun visits Han’s resting place along with Jae-hee, where he admits that he feels guilty about her. Jae-hee records this and sends it to her colleagues, but they dismiss it as proof, as it could not be considered testimony. They believe in finding Park Min-hwan, whose disappearance makes the mystery tighter.
Meanwhile, Secretary Jung’s return provides crucial insight into Yi-jun’s past. Raised under Chairman Yoon’s punishing expectations, young Yi-jun was abused for receiving an A instead of an A+. His childhood helps explain his perfectionism and emotional defence. Jung also clarifies that Yi-jun was not dating Secretary Han, and this changes many narratives.
The Knight Finally Appears
The final moments bring the episode’s romance and suspense together. When Yi-jun catches Jae-hee inside the secret room, he gets mad and yells at her for breaking his privacy. She furiously tells him that she wanted to know whether he killed Han. But before he could reply, Jae-hee senses something and pushes Yi-jun to the chair and kicks it away. We see the chandelier slowly falling down.
A flashback reveals Yi-jun’s description of his ideal woman: a brave, bold knight on a white horse. It is a striking allusion to Jae-hee’s father’s dream, who said she’s already meant for someone whom she will save. The episode concludes with the chandelier slowly coming towards Jae-hee, and we will find out whether it will fall on her.
Wrapping Up
Ultimately, Love in Disguise Episode 3 successfully intertwines its romantic comedy with a genuine murder mystery. The poisoned milk, hidden phone, the disappearance of Min-hwan, the chandelier falling, and other threats to Yi-jun suggest that the danger surrounding him is far beyond the secrets he has. extends far beyond his own secrets. And just as Jae-hee begins to understand the man behind his cold exterior, she may have uncovered that he is innocent indeed.
