Lou Trailer: Jurnee Smollett and Allison Janney Embark on a Journey That Exposes Their Murky Secrets

Netflix’s Lou trailer looks like an interesting suspense thriller that will make one grab onto the edge of their seats. The upcoming film will not only star Jurnee Smollett and Allison Janney, but the two actors also serve as the executive producers. This thrilling addition to Netflix’s ever-expanding slate looks like a hit that has the potential to engage us with elements of mystery, drama and action.

The film is directed by Anna Foerster and written by Maggie Cohn. The cast features Jurnee Smollett, Logan Marshall-Green, Allison Janney, Matt Craven, Toby Levins, Marci T. House, Jaycie Dotin, Roman Mitichyan, Ridely Asha Bateman, Andres Collantes, Grayson Palumbo, Cheyenne Rouleau and Greyston Holt.

The trailer for the upcoming thriller film opens with Janney’s character revealing to the audience that she wishes she could say what did brought some good to the world she lives in but, it only made things more dangerously. We take a quick ride to see how Janney’s character meets Smollett and with the onset of a raging storm the lives of these two women completely change forever.

When Smollett’s child is kidnapped by her mysterious and estranged husband, she has no one but Janney’s Lou to seek help from. But, the journey these two women embark on soon turns dark with punches in the gut and minds one does not see coming. Ultimately, the rescue mission turns into a place where some shocking secrets are revealed and you can not trust anyone anymore.

The Lou trailer description elaborates on the upcoming film’s premise as: “A storm rages. A young girl is kidnapped. Her mother (Jurnee Smollett) teams up with the mysterious woman next door (Allison Janney) to pursue the kidnapper – a journey that tests their limits and exposes shocking secrets from their pasts. A gruff loner living a quiet life with her dog battles the elements and her own dark past when a neighbour’s little girl is kidnapped during a storm.”
