Whether it all started with Squid Game or because of the Kpop culture, Korean series have started to receive love from every corner for it’s prolific plots and stunning actors. With all the hype going on, we have more incoming this year that we cannot miss.

Gyeongseong Creature
Jung Dong-Yoon’s next most-anticipated Horror series, Gyeongseong Creature, stars Park Seo-Joon (Itaewon Class) and Hand So-Hee (Nevertheless) in the lead roles. In 1945, when Gyeongseong enters its darkest era, all the people living there will have to battle life and death.

Sweet Home Season 2
Netflix’s most-loved apocalyptic series starring Song Kang, is returning with season 2. When a troubled high schooler, Cha Hyun Soo and his mates find themselves trapped around monsters, they all have to strive to lead the remaining human race.
Doona!
The upcoming series Doona! produced by Studio N, follows the sparkling romance between a college student and a famous female K-pop idol. The series stars Bae Suzy and Yang Se-Jong in the lead.

Daily Dose of Sunshine
Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon fame Park Bo-Young’s next drama Daily Dose of Sunshine, shows the lives of people with psychiatric disorders in a healing way. The series is directed by Lee Jae Gyoo and written by Lee Nam Gyu and Kim Da Hee.

Goodbye Earth
Goodbye Earth, written by Jung Sung-joo and directed by Kim Jin-min, stars Yoo Ah-in, Ahn Eun-jin, Jeon Sung-woo and Kim Yoon-hye. The story shows the people’s misery as they learn about the upcoming meteor crash, which will lead the world to extinction.

A Time Called You
A Time Called You, tarring Ahn Hyo-Seop, Jeon Yeo-been, and Kang Hoon, is based on the Taiwanese television series Someday Or One Day. The story follows Han Jun Hee, who travels back in time only to find her classmate has an uncanny resemblance to her late boyfriend.

Song of the Bandits
Song of the Bandits is set in the Japanese colonial period, the 1920s, to depict the hardships of the people who lost their livelihoods. The series is directed by Hwang Jun-Hyeok and written by Han Jeong-Hoon, starring Kim Nam-Gil, Seohyun and Yoo Jae-Myung in the lead roles.

D.P. Season 2
Starring Snowdrop fame Jung Hae In, the Action military drama is back with its season 2, all set to be released in 2023. The series is directed by Han Jun Hee and written by Kim Bo Tong.

Mask Girl
Kim Yong-Hoon directs the upcoming dark comedy series, Mask Girl, showing the life of Kim Mo-Mi (Ko Hyun-Jung), a normal office worker who gets involved in a case after she live streams with a mask on.

Black Knight
Netflix is bringing Kim Woo Bin starrer Black Knight‘s Quarter 2 to its plate. The synopsis of the series reads, “In a dystopian 2071 devastated by air pollution, the survival of humanity depends on the Black Knights.”

Love to Hate You
Love to Hate You, directed by Kim Jung-Kwon, stars Kim Ok-Vin, Teo Yoo, Kim Ji-hoon and Go Won-hee. The story shows a rookie attorney’s hate towards relationships.
The Glory Part 2
The Glory starring Song Hye Kyo became a hit as soon as it dropped. Now that Netflix has renewed it for another season for more revenge of the protagonist. You can stream season one here.
Bloodhounds
Based on a webtoon, Bloodhounds follows three young adults’ lives and how they try to get out of debt. The series stars, Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi in the lead.

Director Kim Chul Gyu brings in the new emerging class “celebrity” and the envious people around them. The stars in this series are Park Gyu Young, Kang Min Hyuk and Lee Chung Ah.

Queenmaker
Queenmaker shows the lives of two women leading a wonderful life, suddenly leaving everything behind to create a fair world. The series is directed by Oh Jin Suk and written by Moon Ji Young.
