Moreover, he also offers his help and asks her to let him help her out with the investigation to catch the culprit responsible for Chil-seong’s death.
Meanwhile, Baek-du’s mother gets drunk along with Jin-su’s mother at the restaurant. She is sad about the fact that Baek-du has been emotionally suffering for so long, and she could not recognise it. Moreover, Seok-hui gets suspicious of Baek-du and Du-sik’s relationship as he still thinks that she is the manager of the ssireum team and not his childhood friend. He discusses it with Jin-su, but he dismisses the conversation.

Later both Baek-du and Du-sik walk home after the practice when she asks him how did he realise his feelings. He reveals that he has liked hwe since childhood and almost for 30 years. Hyeon-uk suddenly appears, and Baek-du gets jealous of him, so he insists upon staying over for a cup of coffee. However, when Baek-du reveals that he is also part of the team now, Hyeon-uk opposes and challenges him to a drinking game. After a lot of drinking, it is decided that Baek-du will officially help them out with the investigation.
Jin-su also grows suspicious of Baek-du and Du-sik’s relationship but it gets confirmed when he sees them sneaking out of the stadium together. Seok-hui also notices them going inside a cafe together and approaches Jin-su on the road to inquire more about their relationship. However, Jin-su reveals that he thinks the girl is none other than Du-sik, but Seok-hui refuses to believe him. They both go to the cafe to confirm her identity.
In the cafe, the four of them, Baek-du, Du-sik, Hyeon-uk and Mi-ran get together to talk more about the investigation. But they were interrupted by Seok-Hui and Jin-su. Seok-hui Goes up to Du-sik and asks her if she is actually Du-sik to which she does not reply. He starts to ramble about things, and Du-sik strongly hints that she is, in fact, his childhood estranged friend Du-sik.
