Laal Singh Chaddha Twitter Review: Netizens Are Feeling Mixed About Aamir Khan’s Adaptation of Forrest Gump

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha is finally out and Twitter is swarming with mixed feelings about this latest comedy drama. Serving as the official adaptation of the 1994 award-winning movie, Forrest Gump starring Tom Hank, the film has a screenplay by Atul Kulkarni and is directed by Advait Chandan.

Laal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan in the titular role. The other cast members include Kareena Kapoor Khan as Rupa, Mona Singh as Laal’s mother, Naga Chaitanya as Bala, Manav Vij as Mohammad, Ahmad Ibn Umar as Young Laal. Produced by Aamir Khan Productions and Viacom18 Pictures, the latest release is a long one with a runtime of 164 minutes.

The film tells the story of a man named Laal Singh Chaddha, we witness his journey from being an awkward child to growing up to being a simple man with an extraordinary journey filled with warmth, happiness, passion, determination and courage. Being the official remake of the Hollywood movie that has become a classic over the years, there isn’t much difference plot-wise. With that being said, the debate of if this is a faithful adaptation or serves a cold tea still is up for the grabs, especially on Twitter.
