Netflix has dropped Kung Fu Panda the Dragon Knight series and fans are loving the return of their favourite dragon warrior. Starring Jack Black, Rita Ora, James Hong, and other actors, the series opens up a new chapter in the franchise. The plot follows our dragon master going on a food trip all over China only to have it come to a drastic end after he accidentally destroys a whole village. Now he is on a quest to save the world from two weasels who are after some pretty powerful weapons while trying to get back his reputation as the dragon master which he has lost.
Netflix describes the show as:
Playful Po and a no-nonsense knight hop the globe on a quest to find magical weapons and save the world from vengeful villains.

Kung Fu Panda the Dragon Knight Review
The series starts off with our playful dragon warrior heading out on a journey to taste food all over China. We are aware of his love for food and that dragon master title really did get him some special attention but things cannot always be the same for our clumsy hero. And this is where the real adventure begins when our favourite panda goes off to be a hero that he is but ends up making things worse. Our dragon warrior is off to the world with a new friend and a new team.
As in any Kung Fu Panda movie, Po is not so cool in the beginning and you will find that here as well because we need that character development. However, you will see a high followed by a low and another high through the series because this is going to be a long-term project and the dragon warrior should have a lot of room to show that development. I enjoyed getting to see new villages and other mysteries of the Kung-fu world, and I also enjoyed the introduction to the West through the knight from England.

This series is going to be a global tour for Po which has never happened in the franchise which makes me excited for what is to come next. And I need to point out to the title of the series, a knighthood journey that has just begun for Po, another element of our Panda going global. And while we keep talking about Po (because he is the main character) I have to point out the new characters who are amazing and the old character who we never thought was this awesome.
I take these words to talk about Mr Ping, the awesome sledge rider dad of Po who has more to him than just his noodle and his love for Po. I am expecting more action from him in the next season of this series, not to forget that one of the masters of the magical weapons looks like a goose. This father is going out of China with his son and we are definitely looking forward to this journey. And to add that the villains this time are not just strong but also sneaky, Po will need more help than ever before.

While I dearly miss the Furious Five team and Master Shifu, this series has introduced to us some new characters who are on the way to becoming Po’s new team. I understand that the old team had to make way for them, and not going to lie this team is going to be showing us some moves while shouting ‘Ursa Major!’ whenever they throw a big hit. And what can possibly go wrong with having a knight and a master thief plus a con artist in the team?

Summing Up: Kung Fu Panda the Dragon Knight
This series is set to be an entertainer for the fans and while it may not ‘Skadoosh’ you like the first movie (we have to agree that movie is the best), it will please you while giving you more information about Kung Fu Panda World. The legends and the unknown masters are set to be revealed which can really intrigue the fans. And our panda may not always have an awesome moment in this show, but he is someone with inner peace and a heart that can melt anyone.

I am excited to see Po’s adventure out of China in Kung Fu Panda the Dragon Knight, and I’m sure that the fans too are looking forward to his journey into the world and the road to Knighthood. The series has its fair share of comedy and action which is well-balanced to keep us intrigued the whole time.
