Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor grace Karan Johar’s couch on Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 11 and start the discussion off with a warm hug and Johar asking Khushi how it feels to debut on the couch. The younger of the sisters mentions her nervousness but also the fact that her sister’s presence makes things more comfortable for her. The sisters look ravishing on the couch, with Janhvi wearing a red dress while Khushi looks pretty in a pale yellow number.
Karan dives into his obsession with the sisters’ mother Sridevi’s legacy and how he was an obsessed fan from when he was young and was quite intimidated the first time he met them. Both Janhvi and Khushi have wide smiles during this discussion, reminiscing about her. Interestingly, he mentions that he met Manish Malhotra the first time he met Sridevi, which makes Janhvi laugh.

Funnily enough, Janhvi mentions that she ‘Rapid Fire’-s herself when she is going through a problem, which makes Karan do a double take. Confused, he asks her what questions she would ask herself and Janhvi mentions that she would ask herself ‘Hook, Marry, Kill’ questions but with very questionable people. As the three laugh, Karan mentions that he has stopped asking people these questions for various reasons, while Janhvi mentions that Navya (Nanda) thinks that she is not ready for the Koffee couch after last night’s Rapid Fire at a party!
The conversation then moves on to Khushi getting the role in The Archies, and Khushi mentions that although she wasn’t looking to start acting just yet, she still wanted the role in the movie, and Zoya Akhtar made the process very easy and comfortable and helped her through her initial tension and anxiety. She mentions that she started crying when she got the call, and they talk about their sibling bond and how they are always there for each other now in different ways, especially after their mother’s death.
Khushi and Janhvi mention losing their mother and how it felt when they first got the call. It’s an emotional conversation that makes both the sisters tear up, and Karan praises Khushi for being the strong one and taking this in her stride since now that she’s in the eyes of the public, it will help her in the face of rampant judgement and questions.
After the emotional moments, Karan asks the sisters about their current dating game, instantly putting them on the spot. He asks Khushi whether she is dating The Archies costar Vedang Raina, which she decides to “just say false”, cracking the three of them up. Moving on, he asks Janhvi whether she is dating Shikhar (Pahariya), and she mentions that they have a great bond and Shikhar is someone who has been there for the family from the start.

They move on to Janhvi’s work and what she’s feeling about it. She mentions that the work she has done till then has been the stepping stone to get to know who she is and what she wants. However, after going through what she has, she feels confident where she is and what she is doing. They talk about Boney Kapoor’s Instagram looks and how he sends 60 airport looks to everyone, which makes everyone laugh. They then move on to their bond with Arjun (Kapoor) and Anshula (Kapoor), and Khushi mentions that it is nice to have more people to discuss things with and get advice from.
In the next segment, Karan introduces visual cues wherein the sisters have to guess what has been removed from the pictures before being shown to them. After three images, we move to the Rat Race game wherein they have to say things three things according to the given cue in 7 seconds. Janhvi wins this game with 7 points.
In the Rapid Fire round, both sisters give rather interesting and funny answers. However, Janhvi wins thanks to her saucy answers. The episode ends with Janhvi saying that the future’s bright now that she has won the Rapid Fire round, finally!
Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 11 Review
After last week’s episode, it’s a little disappointing we are back to the PR episodes this week. However, I must say that Janhvi feels like she has found her footing, and she looks like she’s more confident in her answers. And without assuming that their answers were written by their teams, Janhvi’s Rapid Fire answers were at least a little entertaining, and her confidence really showed.

Other than that, there’s not much to say about this episode. It felt a little all over the place, and we don’t talk about saucy gossip enough anymore. I think it’s interesting because, before the break, Karan Johar asked his friends saucy questions, and they gave saucy answers which made sense in a way. Plus, PR wasn’t that big a deal yet and neither was social media to bash celebs in the off chance someone said something “incorrect.”
In the present, unfortunately, Karan’s friends are all married with kids, and the others who join him on the couch are much younger than him, so there is an inherent disbalance in the dynamic that you can’t just ignore. Of course, smarter questions can overcome that hurdle, but it just doesn’t work anymore because times, celebrities, and public perception have changed.
That being said, this silliness surrounding “accidental name-dropping” really needs to stop. No one is getting fooled, and we all know that it’s cleverly orchestrated. All in all, this was a mellow episode with not much to offer.
