Kings of Joburg Season 2 Teaser: Treacherous Brotherhoods and the Supernatural

Kings of Joburg Season 2 Teaser just dropped, which will premiere on Netflix. The much anticipated second season of the show is created and written by Shona Ferguson and procured by Samad Davis, Wesleigh Kapotis and Lauren Nell. It is a story about the Masire brothers ruling Johannesburg’s criminal underworld, but a supernatural family curse and a tangled web of betrayal threaten to destroy them.

The cast of the series includes Sello Sebotsane stars as Stan Mazibuko, Tk Sebothoma stars as Tlotlo Masire, Connie Ferguson stars as Masire Mermaid, Zolisa Xaluva stars as Mogomotsi ‘Mo’ Masire, Buhle Samuels stars as Angela Masire, Nnekwa Tsajwa stars as Sting, Cindy Mahlangu stars as Phumzi, Tsholofelo Matshaba stars as Jazmine Gumede, Edmund Ngema stars as Ayanda, Llewellyn Cordier stars as Leon, Busiswe Twala stars as Mimi, and Abdul Khoza stars as Lester.

The origin of series is from South Africa, and the language is Zulu, but it has also been dubbed into English. The production of the series was high, which made it even more intriguing. The first season of the series received immensely positive feedback, and the fans cannot wait for the new one.

Netflix synopsis of the show:

The Masire brothers rule Johannesburg’s criminal underworld, but a supernatural family curse and a tangled web of betrayal threaten to destroy them.

In the trailer, it is shown that the Masire Brothers are met with another set of problems that will test their loyalty to the brotherhood. Along with the unknown supernatural curse looming around, they have to find a way to escape it. But the curse is more powerful than ever since, one by one, the people are falling into its trap.

The first season of the series showed us the effects of crime in an African society. How masculinity and patriarchy rule the families. It also showed us how the curse was affecting everyone. Loyalties will be tested, with long-held secrets threatening to shatter the fragile facade.

Fans are looking for many answers in the upcoming series. They are expecting the plot to tie the dead ends and sort out the situations finally. Characters who were wronged to get their justice and to let out things which were left unsaid.
