King the Land Episode 2 Reactions: Netizens Love the Old-Timey Rom-Com Aspect!

King the Land is proving to be that show that you watch to forget about a bad day/month/week and simply exist in the middle of a beautiful moment. While episode 1’s chaotic feel-good moments made us go weak in the knees, episode 2 gives us some romantic vibes wherein you lose yourself with Won’s as he realises Sa-ran’s beautiful, takes it all in, and drowns in it, head, line and sinker!

The latest weekend South Korean drama, airing on JTBC and directed by Im Hyun-wook, also stars Go Won-hee, Kim Ga-eun, Ahn Se-ha, and Kim Jae-won in addition to Lee Jun-ho and Lim Yoon-a (Yoona) in lead roles.

Lee Jun-ho was last seen on The Red Sleeve as Yi San / King Jeongjo, while Yoona played audience-favourite Go Mi-ho in 2022’s hugely popular Big MouthKing the Land takes over the jTBC’s Saturday-Sunday 22:30 PM KST time slot previously occupied by Doctor Cha. The drama brings the story of the heir Goo Won who has been thrown into an inheritance war, and the happy Cheon Sa-rang, whose smile moves him like no other. As the two begin to spend more time together, a beautiful love begins to bloom in their story.

In the latest episode, apart from the obvious romance brewing between the leads, viewers also had fun watching Sa-rang and Sang-sik’s chaotic energy together and the wonderful portrayal of the lead characters as the show subtly describes how different the two characters are. Viewers were particularly intrigued by Sa-rang ability to be embarrassingly chaotic while also being calm, collected and emotional. On the other hand, Gu Won’s obvious traumatic backstory also has viewers waiting with bated breath as they praise Lee Jun-Ho’s subtle acting.
